This is not your traditional hibachi restaurant experience. They do not have cooking grills as the center piece of each sitting arrangement. There is one cooking range serving everybody.
We dined in. Not all the employees are trained in the art of customer service, if it was not for the lady behind the counter, this would have been a very short visit. The people cooking were also the ones serving the food and we're in an obvious rush to get back to cooking. Makes perfect sense but if you have a question, don't expect a proper response. When we asked for a fork, the reply was "hot sauce is over there" (pointed towards the neatly organized drink station). Also, no brownie points for presentation of food.
The restaurant is not a dine in hibachi experience. Having said that, this place has a lot of plus points. You get hibachi level quality food (minis the miso soup which could have been a different recipie) at the speed of a take out Chinese restaurant. The portions are nicely sized and each element of your meal is individually priced. You will not pay a pretty penny to enjoy a hibachi dinner in the comfort of your home. They do not offer steaks of variant degrees. We did not try the sushi but based on the quality of service and presentation, I don't believe it will be too far off.
I would definitely come back here again, but only...
Read moreI personally do NOT suggest going here. There food is like fast food hibachi. It’s very mediocre. I got the steak and chicken hibachi and watched the guy cook it and it took him less then 7 minutes to cook me and my ladies food. Which should have been a red flag from the jump, but hey I’m thinking let’s give them a chance. Well the food has absolutely no flavor. The rice is just disgusting and it’s also not fried rice. Then the “yum yum sauce” is not yum it’s gross and pathetic. The steak and chicken were just alright; again almost no flavor at all. They put some soy sauce on it and think it makes it all good but no it’s not flavorful AT ALL. Then again you get what you pay for. I didn’t expect the food to be cheap, but it was. My plate was $12.50 I believe and it could’ve been better off being the price of a Big Mac meal bc it wasn’t worth it at all. I’m not the type to do reviews let alone bad ones at that, but I’m visiting Savannah and just wanted some good hibachi and this place is not it. So if you do decide to go here the only benefit is that there cheap. Other wise when you go to take the first bite of your food; lower your...
Read moreThe atmosphere is nice and the place is clean, however we arrived plenty of time before closing and decided to dine in, since there were no other customers in. The guy at the register never came to take our order, he sat playing on his phone the entire time and my husband had to ask him of he was going to take our order, to which the guy at the register just wanted him to yell out the order. Our food came promptly (and the prices are decent), we both ordered the steak and shrimp plate. Sadly, we both agreed there was something off about the taste and our steak was tough. I couldn't finish eating the rest of my food. We were never brought a check, had to go up to the register to find out what we owed. They were not courteous at all. I will...
