Los Arcos — Restaurant in Geraldine

We moved into the area about 6 months ago and during the time we were looking for a house we had eaten at 2 of the Los Arcos. We had great service and great food in both of them, them being Guntersville and Albertville. We found a house in Boaz and moved in. We were pretty happy to see another Los Arcos in town. The first time we went we just went in for a drink. We normally share a beer and have a shot of sipping grade tequila with our meal, if we’re eating. We like one tequila more than others, and since they didn’t have it, we asked if they could get it. The manager said that they would. The next time we went in we were going to eat and have some tequila since we saw that they had our favorite. We ordered a beer to share and a shot each in a sipping glass. The shots were the smallest I’ve ever seen. We were sitting at the bar looking directly at the sign that said all drinks were 1.25 ounces of liquor, unless specified otherwise. I asked the manager how much was in our glasses and he replied 1 ounce. I asked why it wasn’t 1.25 ounces and was told that when you order “shots “ that you only get one ounce. I don’t think I’ve ever heard anything that ridiculous. We did not order any food, had our “shots “ and beer and left. We absolutely won’t go anywhere near the Boaz los arcos ever again. We’ve eaten at the Albertville restaurant a number of times since then and we always feel like we get our moneys worth with our glasses of tequila. The food is great as is the service. Food was good. Greatly disappointed by the service. I don’t know if I went on a bad day but the service was HORRIBLE. Our server was a heavier set guy and he was plain out rude to us. My spanish friend was with me and he said the waiter was talking bad about everyone, his co workers, he was using ugly language so what can we expect as clients who eat here? The girl upfront, rude as well. If you don’t like your job, QUIT. I don’t know who put them to work there but they should find new people. A person like him who talks bad about his own coworkers...

Los arcos in Albertville is one of, if not my favorite place to eat. I was soo excited when I heard we were getting one in Geraldine. The past three times I've ate at Geraldine, the food was not good. Yesterday was the last time I will eat in Geraldine. It tasted like whoever was cooking didn't care or didn't know how to cook.
