Happy Garden Chinese restaurant — Restaurant in Gibsonville

No personalities here it is only about the task at hand and I have to wait with several others for 10 -15 min, all usually are masked,every time I go by the pick-up time they "sometimes" tell me. That said - very good food I have enjoyed repeatedly and it is all very hot temp. I have tried Hunan, Cantonese, don't miss the curries! I wish they would elaborate their seafood section beyond all those shrimp dishes. Oh, and a scallop dish. They could do some fish that are healthy and good for you and so much more. So, call ahead and add 8 or 9 minutes (be sure to ask) to the pick-up time. Don"t forget to ask for napkins and utinsils when they hand out the bag of food if needed and don't forget to grab the condiment packages on the front counter either. I have done all of these. This is one of or maybe the best Chinese take out in the area. Tonight was very unusual in that it was extremely busy and instead of the normal 10 minutes it took approximately 45 minutes to get my order. They had said 30 minutes which was odd, and when I got there they had three very large orders for groups in process or finished and several of us were sitting there waiting. This won't stop me from going back because the staff is and food is good. We ordered chicken and broccoli, chicken and mixed vegetables, and chicken curry. Normally we get the family pack which is a fantastic deal, but tonight I didn't want to feed us with the egg rolls and wontons Etc nor the sodas. Their chicken wings are very good too. I’m going to be honest. We have been eating at Happy Garden for roughly 15 years and always been pleased. But tonight was terrible. Don’t know if it was a different cook. But I got Ribs on the bone small but for $7.05 I got 4 and only one had some meat on it . The other 3 was just fat. The Beef teriyaki was horrible tasting and again hardly any meat for $ 5:85 and only get 4. The crab Rangoon were good and the small pork fried rice was ok. Also got 3 egg rolls.
