This place is fantastic. The food is excellent. The service exceptional. The price point low.
If you want systemized corporate service. "I wasn't recognized." Go to McDonalds. They stand in line for barely edible food.
At Edisons, Speak to a waitress. They are always accommodating. My personal favorite? The grilled cheese with tomato and bacon. Coleslaw and chips. Iced tea and coffee. The sauteed mushrooms at great. Everything is home made in house, including the salad dressings.
Everything fresh made. I like to sit on the patio. I go in the front door. Get a waitresses attention that I am sitting on the heated porch. Great service, great food and a price point that is much lower then competitors. What more could you ask for? The soups are great. Tried the chili today. Superb.
The staff? Excellent. Friendly. Some retirees. Some youngsters. We go during the non rush hours. They always have time for pleasantries along with serving great food.
As a transplant from a larger metro area, the place is perfect for cultural observation. From the church groups that come in. The elderly couples and farmers. It is a blast. This the place to meet a guy who knows a guy. Form the pastor of the neighboring church who knows guy who does auto repairs for a donation. Big Dewey who knows a guy who installs gravel. Just a superb experience. I tell my wife. I love to travel and visit small towns where the dialog of locals reminds me of a Tarantino movie. Memorable for years, sharp, rich and honest. This place has it by the wheel barrow full.
When my guys come out to work for me? We always go to Edisons for lunch. You know what? Every time they have been impressed. One is partial to the cheese omelette. We often discuss the old house I am remodeling. The servers wait to take our order as necessary while we discuss project details.
To the negative reviews? Not being noticed? Go in the front door. Not the porch door. Get a waitress attention that you are sitting on the porch. Superb service and food will follow.

Read moreALERT! Because of the pandemic, we chose to use the drive-through. The speaker on the drive-through was not working so we had to drive to the window to give our order. The young woman at the window was not wearing a mask and when I asked her about that, She turned and got one and put it on. Her manner was brusque and extremely rude. We had been traveling and were extremely hungry and had chosen this business because of the reviews and the type of food that it offered. We wanted breakfast. Later, an older woman came to the window wearing her mask as a chinstrap. She asked if we had been helped and my husband replied that we had. When the young woman came back with the food, she was rude, said nothing, just shoved the bag toward my husband’s driver side window. We had tried to be conciliatory. My husband had left a tip. But, we decided to throw the food away and start over elsewhere. We drove on to Delaware Ohio getting off at exit 131. We found a Starbucks where they all wore masks and took precautions with the food and drink. During this pandemic, I think it’s important that we choose places that take precautions. Some of the towns and villages around Columbus Ohio where we live have made it mandatory to wear a mask in public. We will be going to those businesses and not going to businesses where masks are...

Cheese Stick appetizer and Marinara sauce were a great start--thinking this is going to be a great meal..Sorry to say that was the end of a great meal. Mashed potatoes --absolutely no salt= NO flavor, turkey-two deli - thin slices over flavorless mashed potatoes and mediocre stuffing. The gravy tasted like water. Coffee- had to ask server to make a fresh pot as our 3 cups must have been sitting from breakfast.Portions were very, very small except for one of our group who had the ground sirloin .Chicken and noodles-mediocre at best. The homemade bread was good. Very, Very disappointed. (our family was in the restaurant business for over 40 years until selling it a few years ago in Ohio-and we love stopping at Mom and Pop diners and - it's not like we don't know how food should be prepared for both taste and presentation.).The server was nice -friendly and attentive-we did leave her a nice tip--she...
