The Lighthouse Cafe — Restaurant in Gilmore Township

We were told a 25 minute wait which was 45 us minutes. We saw the empty tables as did the other people waiting. The cream curdled in my coffee and i received a look when I asked for another cup. Then I was given eggs not the way I ordered. Normally, just would have eaten them but they were very dry. The waitress was not attentive at all. When I told about the eggs, she looked at her note pad & said she would be back. She said she heard scrambled when I ordered sunny side up and I could have the sunny side up eggs. My wife & I stopped by the Lighthouse Cafe for breakfast while on a weekend getaway, and were so impressed! Marcy greeted us and was just so kind. Regarding the food, it was 5-star! We had the sweet cream pancakes and bacon breakfast burrito. The pancakes were fluffy and so creamy. They just melted in our mouths. My wife said they were quite honestly the best she had ever had. Amazingly well cooked! How did they do that?! The breakfast burritos were the perfect blend of flavors; best I’ve ever had, & I’m 56! Regarding the service, “Crystal” was friendly & very responsive. We arrived about 15 minutes early to the opening of the cafe. There were already 1/2 dozen people waiting, which was the first good sign! I had called ahead as we had a large group (12), and even though they didn't take a reservation as such, they were ready to seat us right away. Food was great! Everything was very tasty, and the hot things were served HOT - not lukewarm. Service was right on - our waitress was always on top of things, and right there with water, coffee, or anything else we needed.
