I have mixed feelings about my experience. Was promptly greeted at the door, girl was friendly and dressed very professionally. How ever once we were seated it took almost 15 min before someone even greeted us to take our drink order as i watched two ladies that walked in after us already getting their order taken. It them took another 15min to get a mimosa and coffee. The table was sticky. But the gentleman explained that it was from the varnish was worn but very graciously wiped it down for us anyways. The food. We were there for mother's day brunch special. There was nothing special about our food. It was a limited menu so you would think it would be on point. It however was not the case. I ordered the espresso pancakes with a tiramasu whip. The pancakes were cold, very odly textured and rubbery. The side of potatos tasted old and were also cold and did not taste good. My mom ordered the eggs Benedict and it odly had a pizza taste to it. My mom ate about half of hers and I could only take a bite if mine. There was a gentleman at the table across from mine who had burnt french toast that was glued tonthe bottom of the plate and a lady behind us who also ordered the eggs benedict and was not eating it. I was very disappointed in most of my experience and left hungry and discouraged. My mom is is from out of state and I wanted her to have a good mother's day experience. I felt like it was over priced for all we got. I'm am however giving credit to them for comping my meal and offering to make it right amd make something else...
Read moreMy family and I went to have dinner here while our house was without power. We were greeted by friendly staff including the owner. Our waitress was helpful and brought our orders out promptly. The lasagna that my husband had was very very good. The pizza crust was a nice thin crust that had a good crisp to the bottom. There were two items that I felt could have been better: the mozzarella sticks and the focaccia bread. The waitress brought out the bread while we were deciding what to order, which was very nice. For context I am an avid baker, I love making cookies, cinnamon rolls, breads, cakes, and coincidentally focaccia bread. This bread is supposed to be airy, a little chewy, with a crisp made all the way around by a coating of olive oil during baking. The focaccia we had was dense, crumbly and dry, reminding me of dried out rolls. I love making food for people and knowing what focaccia is supposed to taste like, I felt like I had to say something. If the owner is reading this, I would love to make some focaccia for you and your staff to try and see what you think, because I think your patrons would have a much improved dining experience with a better focaccia.
As far as the mozzarella sticks go, the breading was a chicken breading that left the sticks very floppy and difficult to handle. A more standard double dip bread crumb breading with egg wash would make a much better stick that is easier to handle and eat. Please let me know if you would like some focaccia bread, I would love to make...
Read moreUPDATED REVIEW: My favorite waitress got fired, so I am soooo sad! Her name is Rainbow. She got hired when they first opened. There are some things that she dealt with by management, things that I could never deal with. She still just worked hard and stuck it out. Always friendly, she truly loved her job here. I'm not going to go on here and change my review because the food is good, really good. I have had friends also compliment how sweet Rainbow was and her main goal was to make the customer happy. The reason she got fired is ridiculous. I myself probably won't go back, but the food is good. As far as promoting this restaurant, I won't do that either anymore.
Original Review: I hate that people have had bad dining experiences here. I have only had excellent experiences! I have been to Mannis several times and each visit was amazing! I love the cauliflower crust pizza, I get it almost every single time. This last time we ordered the chicken fettuccine Alfredo, shrimp risotto, and mozzarella cheese sticks. Somehow we managed to save a little room for dessert. I had the lemon cake and my husband ordered the butter pecan gelato. I think I could literally eat a whole one of their Italian lemon cakes. Soooooo good!!! I am part Italian so I know what good Italian food is. The service has always been amazing and the staff really tries hard for A+ service. I love this restaurant and it is exactly what our...
