Popeyes in Kansas City is the most unprofessional tackiest restaurant chain I have ever had dealings with. They sell poor quality food at high prices and are horrible at up holding the Popyes Brand name. I have had two bad experinces with this location in Gladstone Missouri, where they basically sold me 30 worth of bad chicken. The first time I dealt with a manager (Jade) that agreed to replace my food because I came late and the food was just messed up the chicken was old and double dipped, the sides where even worse cold to the touch and I was actually missing a entire side item. I came in the next day and day shift manager voided out the previous manager request telling me that he wasn't about to give me 30 worth of free chicken back nor was he going to refund me, he was so me and basically told me I was lying, I was totally humiliated I left telling myself that I would not return, this was Feb 2020. Fast fwd to today I went and purchased 28.00 worth of food the food was cold, I didn't really trip because it was to be expected because basically if u come to this place after 8 your not getting fresh food, I said cool I'm hungry, I'll warm it up. I warm the chicken up and I swear to Christ the chicken had no taste, I thought it was just that piece I eat another piece same thing no taste, my family slowly come in like like ma, this chicken don't taste like anything. We laughed together, I'm like that's what I said. I called the restaurant and spoke to Michelle, attitude stank and wrong right off the bat. I explained to her that my chicken had no taste and I needed a replacement or a refund, oh o forgot to mention that I literally called like 8 times before I got and answer. She did respectfully said ma'am u can call in the morning and speak to the general manager Daniel because personally I wouldn't replace it for you. With a matching attitude I asked her why, why wouldn't you replace my order? She basically said we marinade our chicken over night and no one has called up to complain so I'm not replacing it. Besides you ate some so no. As I'm trying to explain to her well how would I know that it didn't taste like anything unless I tasted it first, she insisted that I was talking over her and hung up in my face. I called back to back no answer. I'm writing this long review to basically inform that the people here don't respect the fact that you come to them after a long hard day of work and spend your hard earned money with them to feed your families. They just simply don't care. The corporate office could even care less I called and made a comlaint on the manager in February and even the person taking my complaint was just unpleasant....... I'm a treat people how you want to be treated type of person, I know people have bad days and I understand that but there is no reason to treat ppl with disrespect just because they want what they paid for. Read moreWell, the Food tasted Great. But, as for the Employees, they had Terrible Customer Service skills! There was a line circling the building, completely, for drive thru orders, when we arrived. By the time we made it up to, one car between us, and the intercom, we heard the order taker tell the car in front of us, that he would be the last order, they will take, for the day. When we got to the speaker, we were NOT greeted, there was a handwritten notice taped to the speaker stating that they close at 8, and would only be filling online orders. Well, I had the Great Idea, to go online and order, about 30 mins prior, while we were waiting in that long line! ;-) Wonderful Idea too!! And we continued up to the pick up window, as we were waiting behind that "last order, they were going to take for the day," the employee at the pick up window, was making hand gestures, to us, as if to indicate, He or She, wouldn't be speaking to us and motioning, as if to tell us to leave. :-( But, I knew, my online order had been received, because, I had already paid for it, the money was already cleared from my bank account. We we got to the pick up window, this person, started in immediately, saying they were closed, and they weren't going to take our order. Then I stayed, that I ordered online, and had already paid. Though, their handwritten notice, said they would be filling only online orders, they apparently, never even recievied, our paid for order. :-( They then said they only had spicy chicken left, and blah blah blah.. well, when we got home with the bags of food, The Order was NOT even remotely close to what we had ordered. They apparently, just threw a bunch of there evening leftovers, in bags, and threw it out way, as fast as possible to get us to go away so they could clock out and burn rubber. :-( I'm certain, at least three employees left that store, before we even made it to the drive up window. I also saw someone waiting impatiently next to the register, to close out the drawer. :-( Yes, the food was a Five, even though, I didn't get anything, I could eat, since I can't handle spicy foods. Read moreWorst experience ever!!! Ordered online to pick up in Lobby. When we arrived the doors were locked. The drive-thru line was out on Antioch. My husband called the restaurant and explained that he had an order to pick up. They told him he would have to go through the drive-thru and order again as NONE of the online orders had been filled. My husband was upset and asked to talk to a manager. The employee then hung up on him. He called back and the manager answered the phone. He explained the situation to the manager and she was not at all concerned or bothered that we wasted our time and gas to pick up our order. My husband told her the line was all the way down the street and we were not going to sit in line and wait another hour. He asked to cancel his order and get his money back. The manager told him he would have to go through the app to cancel the order and that it would take 3-5 business days to get his refund! So no food and they kept our dinner money as well. Popeyes should have added a disclaimer on their app notifying customers that their orders would not be processed and that the only service they had was drive through only. They instead want to treat their loyal customers like trash! Please…Please Please don’t do business with this company. They have no consideration at all for their customers. Plenty of 0 rated comments about this location. I wish I would have read the reviews prior to going.. I’ll go to KFC 1/4 mile down the road on Antioch from now on. I also let my family and friends know about our experience so they don’t end up unexpectedly in a long line spending $20 on gas just to be told they can’t place your order. Once you are in line you are stuck and can’t get out because the other cars box you in. I understand staffing issues, I don’t however understand inconsideration to your customers! They could have a sign for anyone entering the location explaining the ridiculous long wait...
