La Michoacana Al Natural — Restaurant in Glendale

Last night my wife and I went in for the 1st time to try it out. That was 8/25 @6pm ish. When I walked in I was so surprised how big, bright and clean it was. 2 young ladies were working and we were greeted immediately. They asked if the could help us and we sure needed it. I embrace the Mexican culture and being white and no Spanish I needed all the help I could get. They took the time and went to each icecream and explained what it was. Also if we wanted to try anything we could. So many flavors it took us awhile. We both chose a waffle dish with 3 scoops. One of the young ladies said they sell fresh fruit drinks and they had watermelon. I love watermelon so I asked for a watermelon drink and it was Amazing!! On the way to the register I spotted ice cream bars on a stick. So many flavors again to choose from. But the girls were great and again went bar by bar to explain what they were. So we bought 5 or so to take home. Whoever owns this business is doing it right! Great selection, everything we bought was amazing, super clean and the staff was amazing. Husband and I went in for a small treat when I saw the big Crepe sign. I got excited and ordered one, come to find out out they didn’t know how to make it properly because it was this thick glob, I appreciate that the lady rushed to make the crepe mix but honestly if you don’t know how to make it it’s ok to tell the customer that. Instead I got a super thick “crepe” which defeats the purpose, they also were out of Nutella but that she would try to scrape what was left which I was told after they were making it. They seemed so stressed making it that I felt bad for ordering one and even apologized to them. Then she tells me what ice cream do I want and I said no ice cream and she said she was going charge me for it so I might as well get it. Well by the time I got home the ice cream made the thick crepe all soggy. Which is why I never order ice cream with mine. Anyway long story short very disappointed. My husband got the pico de gallo which was mixed fruit with chamoy and chile and the fruit was warm which I’m pretty sure isn’t the way it should be. The only thing that was good was the agua...

I normally come here often and normally have zero issues but today I couldn’t help but be bothered by one of the workers. As we entered I noticed one person waiting meaning me and my boyfriend were second in line but a huge family came in behind us. This is where I got bothered, one of the workers knew them and instead of being professional and taking care of the person who was there first she skipped over and went straight to her friends or family talking to them and taking care of them first. I’m sorry but I feel like when you are working you should stay professional, I’m not saying you can’t say hi really quickly but that’s not fair for those who have been waiting a long time. Again when I walked in someone was already waiting who knows how long they had been waiting since it was pretty busy during that time. There was two other workers who were on top of it as soon as they finished they quickly helped the young boy and us after that. So thank you for them.
