Old Fashion Deli & Market — Restaurant in Glendale

One of the best and most convenient stores I have ever been to. The workers are extremely helpful and polite. They try to help with whatever they can. I couldn’t find could of the items on my shopping list and they guided me and even helped me pick the correct one. Their prices are very reasonable and they have everything from A to Z. They even have a small parking lot which makes shopping more convenient especially if you have a lot of groceries to carry. Another fantastic point about Old Fashion Market is the fact that they have ready made foods. Wow it makes life so much easier and they taste home made - if not better!! Yes, I said better! They have all sorts of traditional salads and all dishes you can think of. You can call in advance and place an order for bigger quantities and party platters, which I have done before and it’s he best decision ever!! It’s the best price and makes your job as a host a lot easier. They also have a deli section for all sorts of cold cuts, and meat section for bbq meats. Its little town market , not exactly like a grocery store has a okay choice of things I don't get to much their . Downside is I went for milk the other day and once I got to the area were the milks at I was attempting to get a gallon on vitamin d milk and little be hold they all were ready to expire literally like the next day so I got the half gallon which was good still for at least 2 weeks or week in a half . I informed the lady who checked me out she really didn't care or seem like she did not to sure if she understood my english to well or not but I just shock my head not to sure anyone that works thier really speaks English not even the bus Boys who are stocking shelfs crazy but yeah . I went back the next day thier still sitting thier . Also their vegetable and fruits always have little Flys around them so I don't bother getting anything from produce section and the place doesn't smell the best its in and outeverytime I go in thier manly go in their because its convenient at times . I always wanted to try a sandwich, so I did. I ordered a turkey sandwich and a side of potato salad. As I waited, I looked around and thought how nice and well-taken-care-of the store was. I liked the butcher area and thought I should come back more often to try it. I picked up my food and was handed two sandwiches with no salad. I let the woman in charge know. Instead of seeing it as an accident by her worker, she blamed me for not watching him and telling him while he was making it. She said that next time I should be more aware. Her anger and her nasty way of seeing things make me never want to go back. I'm not sure if it was my race, but I didn't get an apology. He must have misunderstood, or maybe he didn't hear. She was quick to take his side and make me feel like it was my fault as she yelled across the store, making it a much bigger deal than it was.
