Went in to pick up an order I had already paid for. Woman in front of me was just looking at the menu holding everyone up in line behind her. So I went up to the cashier, an older woman and asked to pick up my order. She had a nasty attitude and would not let me get my order. Did the same thing to another guy. Kept our food hostage. She was incredibly rude and unprofessional, she should not be a cashier if she can’t multitask.
Response to owner: let me preface this by saying, I’m not some inconsiderate jerk who demanded to be served as soon as I walked through the door. If this cashier was busy taking orders, picking up phone calls, coordinating with drivers, etc, yes I would’ve waited as long as it took to get my order. But that was not the case. I watched this cashier stare at the woman looking at the menu for 10 min, not doing anything else. Its not like she was helping this customer navigate the menu. She could’ve kindly asked her to step aside while the customer figured out what she wanted to order. That is customer service 101. I, along with everyone else in line, were more than patient. I wasn’t expecting spectacular service, or even a smile. All I wanted was my food that I already paid for. I was calm and understanding when asking for my order. I don’t think it’s too much to ask for some common decency in return. Sure, your food is decent, but it’s ruined if the environment is hostile. Just treat people better next time, I’d like to think most of us are patient and understanding....

I was part of a Catholic youth mission group from New britain CT. I was in charge of 3 young ladies. We were sent out into the area to announce the gospel of Jesus Christ and announce God's love for his people.
We were dropped off at a start location and had a map to reach our pick-up destination. No money, no phones, solely providing on prayer and the Providence of God.
We went along along the way, knocking on doors and encountering anyone who would listen about our experiences with God in our lives and oir announcing this love of God for them.
We stopped in this location because Charlie is the name of my son. We were so thirsty from walking, the girls were dead. Cindy explained to her our situation and experiences.
She provided water for the young girls and sheltered us for a little bit as we warmed up in their establishment.
thank you for your kindness, your mercy, and your compassion. May the Lord bless you and your family. May he bring abundance to your business for your generosity.
Thank you for showing our youth the Providence of the Lord through the touched heart of another.
We appreciate what you did for us.
GOD BLESS...
Read moreLong-time eaters, first-time customers. My wife and I heard about Charlie's on Social Media. We came out from Nebraska to give them a try. Life is uncertain, we eat dessert first. We split an oatmeal raisin cookie so big, we could have split it with another. Cookie was soft and bendable, and oh so good. She had the pastrami special she said it was great. I had the chicken parmesan sub. TOTALLY worth the carbs. The chicken crust wasn't soggy, the sauce was full of flavor, more cheese than I was expecting. We found it challenging to finish our sandwiches and the medium order of waffle fries. We will be eating here again. Giving the pizza a run on our next order. As for the atmosphere, you know they're doing something right, being in business as long as they've been. You can feel & see the respect the patrons that were there have for Charlie. He doesn't stay in the kitchen, he comes out to greet and meet you. I like that, makes you feel welcome. The only drawback we had, the restaurant was on the cool side of the thermostat. No one in New Hampshire believes in running their heaters during the winter. Why? Even the daughter's house was cold. Highly recommend making this a regular...
