Visited the restaurant on 9/26 around 6:30. There were three people, we were sat at a table, once one was clean which took 10-15 minutes, and other another 15 minutes before anyone even noticed us. Then they brought us one set of silverware and waited another 10 minutes for them to bring two forks and as they were out of knives we had to share one knife between the three of us for our meal. Ordered antipasto, which was skimpy on toppings, and ordered three meals, which two arrived about 30 minutes after ordering, however the other meal arrived about 10 minutes later as they couldn’t find it. The breading on the shrimp, weekend special, was not cooked the breading near the shrimp was still raw. I told them it was not cooked correctly, but they didn’t seem to care. As the meal wasn't cooked and I had to remove all of the breading I asked for a small side of red sauce; however, I later found out it they charged $2.50 for it and after questioning it was told yes thats correct. After the meal and all of the issues we spoke with the owner and explained how the meals were; however, she didn't seem to care or offer to make it right. This was a VERY poor experience and the lack of concern from the owner was was unacceptable and let her know we would not be returning. I have been told this is not normal; however, the careless attitude of the owner and poor food quality makes me...
Read moreWe had a late game and went to Mimmos for a late dinner. We called before we headed over to the restaurant to ensure that we could be seated. The hostess gave us the times for seating we headed to the restaurant. We arrived and they were close to closing and Sat us at at a table as promised. Service was quick as I know they were trying to close the kitchen but it was appreciated as we were hungry. We ordered mozzarella cheese sticks and calamari for the appetizers. The mozzarella sticks were a hit at the table. The calamari was hit and fresh but just average as it was not seasoned at all. The calamari was tender though. For the entrees we ordered pizza, chicken Parmesan, and lasagna. Everyone liked their food but the food was average. I was told that the lasagna was popular so I ordered it. Lasagna is one of my favorite Italian dishes so usually my go to. The flavors were very simple. I didn't taste any herbs or garlic in the lasagna to help boost the flavor. The chicken Parmesan was basic as well but there were no complaints. Pizza was fresh from the kitchen and dough seemed fresh but it was not my entree so I didn't taste. Food was ok and served its purpose. We were hungry. I also appreciated the good service as they were closing and I. Know how that can be sometimes as the workers want to go home. All of the staff encountered was very pleasant...
Read moreWay overpriced for what you get! Ordered the spaghetti w/ meat sauce and the gnocchi w/ spinach in cream sauce. Each entree was about $10-12. If the food is really good, I have no problem paying that, but this didn't even include a small salad! The gnocchi was ok, but was definitely lacking something. The spaghetti noodles were old and tough (not an al dente issue which is chewy) and the sauce tasted like out of a jar. When we asked for parmesan, (because waitress had to be called over after 5 minutes because she didn't come over to check on us) we got little packets, not even fresh cheese! Could definitely have made better at home or had the same experience at a Pizza Hut.
Service was less than adequate. We were the only ones in there at the time, barring two takeout orders. She had to be told to bring us silverware and salt and pepper. Didn't check on us in a timely manner. She may have been new, I don't know, but when you are the only customers...
I will definitely NOT be eating here again! With their 'new' location hidden away in Brick Village, the service and the quality of food, I doubt they will make it post-COVID if...
