If youâve never experienced the legendary joy of Smithfieldâs Chicken & Bar-B-Q, then hold onto your napkins because youâre about to get sauce-drunk on happiness!
Picture this: I stroll in hungry enough to eat the vinyl off the seats. One whiff of that smoky, slow-cooked pork practically had me signing adoption papers to legally become part of the Smithfieldâs family. The chicken? Crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and apparently blessed by angels wearing BBQ aprons.
Letâs talk hush puppies. Those golden little flavor bombs should come with a warning label: âMay cause spontaneous dance moves and unsolicited marriage proposals.â And donât get me started on the sweet tea â so dangerously good it makes me want to start a support group.
Meanwhile, we often pops by Smithfieldâs when weâre out zipping around Eastern North Carolina, saving homes from unwanted creepy-crawly invasions. Itâs like a pit stop for the soul (and stomach). Nothing like conquering termites all morning and then rewarding yourself with a feast fit for a Carolina king.
Honestly, every visit is like attending a family reunion, minus the awkward political debates and plus an extra ladle of barbecue sauce. The staff always serves up big smiles, warm hospitality, and plates piled so high they practically need scaffolding.
đ Thank you, Smithfieldâs Chicken & Bar-B-Q, for not only feeding us but for fueling the joy that keeps us going strong. Your BBQ brings us back to life after long days of pest control work, and trust me â thatâs no small miracle. Canât wait to swing back by for more...
Read moreThis was my second time to a Smithfields in my life. At least 9 years ago was my last trip and food was so bland I never cared to go back. There's not a Smithfield in my area. Decided to cheat on my keto as I haven't had much to eat all day so I stopped in at 7pm which is a busy time for restaurants.
I'm still not an extreme fan of the overall taste, but for fast food bbq and fired chicken it was really good. Very well prepared. Cooked to right temperature. I wanted to try both so I got the combo platter.
Food was prepared within 3 minutes, something I didn't expect. Also the counter person that took my order is making a point to step out from the behind the counter and deliver every meal to everyone sitting in the dining room. More impressive given this place doesn't have place cards. She is remembering each order and where they are sitting. As I'm typing this she is going around asking if anyone wants refills. In an economy where no one wants to work this is so great seeing someone caring about their job and wants to be here. Let me.cztch her name in case.management reads.this...
Read moreOn August 19th, called and spoke with lady about a big order (55 meals) to feed a school football team. She was very nice and very informative. Took all my information and called me back with specifics. On Tuesday September 26 I paid for the order. We discussed time of pickup and she wrote on her copy PAID IN FULL, PICK UP AT 2:00 THURSDAY. Arrived at 2 on Thursday and they had not even started on the meals. Told me a 20 minute wait. After 18 minutes came back and told me 15 more minutes. I told him I was supposed to be at the school and set up before 3:00 - and itâs a 20 minute drive. Came back after the 15 minutes and told me another 5 minutes. It was 2:45 when I left with the food. I know lunch time might have been hectic but they should have either worked around it or told me when I called they could not do it at that time. If I needed them by 2 and had told them that, the food should have been ready by 2. Even thought we were given a nice discount, this is unacceptable. I might give them another try sometime hoping that this was out of...
