Lucy's Deliveries y Mas — Restaurant in Goose Creek

The absolute worst service ever. Called and placed an order at 7:30pm, whoever answered the phone was already being rude and short with me immediately and acted like I was an inconvenience to her for ordering. Told the woman my order. Online it says “10% off pick up orders” so I asked her to apply that and she said it was for online orders only. I said “okay thanks” and she said “yup”. Then at 8pm my husband gets there to pick up the order and they hadn’t even started cooking it. Apparently the woman told my husband I hung up on her before she could finish her sentence which is not true at all. I was finished placing my order, and the woman asked no questions at all the entire time she was just extremely rude. Then since it wasn’t prepared when I called, my husband had to wait another 30 minutes just to get our order that should have been done already! I hope the owner has recorded phone lines so they can listen back to how rude this employee was, at least whichever employee has black and green hair. Will never go back here. I absolutely love the food here, but there are some things they need to fix on their ordering website before I would ever consider using it.

The first time I ordered was through Uber Eats. I knew it would/should be more expensive, because usually restaurants mark up their food for every item on Uber Eats to offset their cost of using the service. With that order delivery, Lucy's gave me a card that said I can order delivery directly from them and get a 10% discount, so I decided to try that this time.

First problem, the total cost was more expensive than Uber Eats (and this includes the tip in Uber Eats). Second, the delivery discount code told me it was only valid for pickup deliveries. Third issue/point, there was a "spend $20 and get $5 off" special running on Uber Eats and that "just worked" without giving me any issues like the website did.

I have been patronizing this business for YEARS. After the switch in owners (OR kitchen staff), I noticed a slight difference in the food (decline), but still continued to patronize the business since I liked their birria tacos and they didn't go too far off from the original recipe. However, recently I placed an order for birria tacos and it looked and tasted disgusting! They are now using a different white cheese that looks 🤮. I am a visual person for my food and when I opened my box, I immediately noticed the difference and asked the cashier what the white thing was because that is not the usual cheese that they have been using. I had already paid, so I took the food and tasted it when I got home. The birria tacos and consume had no flavor and I was still grossed out by the look of the cheese. I am sad to say that I will have to go elsewhere for my birria fix...
