Angelo's Pizza of Gorham — Restaurant in Gorham

Pretty sure roommate was just scammed by them, and I was witness to it. Ordered via DoorDash and never received it. Tried to check the other apartment doors at our building which also were empty. Called to report, owner said dashers have been stealing their orders lately and she’s SOL on a replacement pizza/ refund. Called DoorDash, also couldn’t help replace the pizza. Called back again, finally got her to agree to replacement food for the missing order, but wasn’t even what she originally ordered. They agreed though, and asked for a 5 star review in return and would personally send her family which is nice. They called saying they couldn’t find us so I went outside to help them get to us (multiple buildings in our apartment community), while she waited at the door. However, her family actually were the original dashers it turns out so it’s weird she’d accuse the drivers of just stealing it initially. They also magically had the old food with them that was lost, and said they found it and the replacement order as well, then requested a check from my roommate for the new replacement food. We explained it’s already paid for and this was just supposed to replace the missing food per the owner. So he calls the owner (his wife or family idk) and she said since they found at the other location they originally left it at, that she must now pay again for the new food too/ had to take it since they brought it. I told them this is a scam to make her pay for the new food that was supposed to be a free replacement, and we can just take the old food despite it being in some unknown location for the last 2 hours, but was already paid and was missing earlier since that’s what was wanted anyway, but they still wanted a check for the replacement food that was promised as free and to leave the new food. So my roommate went to write them a check just so they’d stop harassing us, and said she’d be right back, then one man tried to then enter inside our home after a minute or so. I ran in front of him and said he is not to enter our house without permission and got in front of him and locked the door while she was writing the check to keep him outside. He kept ringing the door bell and they kept saying we must write a check for the new food etc etc which my roommate was doing despite it being promised as a free replacement. I felt so uncomfortable I was ready to call the cops. Very scammy and uncomfortable for 2 young women. Will not order here ever, and my roommate is also very upset after being a loyal customer for years which they acknowledged beforehand as well when agreeing to make free replacement food for the missing paid food they delivered to the wrong...

The crust is the most amazing crust that I’ve ever eaten. You do not discard the crust. If you do, you’ll regret it later when you’re hungry again. The crust is different. Different from the crust you get from any other place. It actually tastes delicious. Some people will eat the crust of any pizza because, after all, it is edible. But it’s not delicious. Some crust you just toss aside. Angelo’s crust is delicious. I suppose you could dip it in a sauce if you have it, but, the end of the crust all by itself sets Angelo’s apart from any other pizza I’ve ever eaten. The variety of pizza choices is another immediately noticeable difference. It doesn’t matter which one you choose. Get what you like. But, you’re going to be amazed by the crust. You won’t find crust like this anywhere else. I’ve eaten plenty of pizzas in my lifetime.

It is debatable - personal preference - what makes a pizza great. Three components: toppings, sauce and crust. Any of the other two can be mediocre and you’ll just have fed your hunger. But, if the crust is bad - even if you’re hungry - you’ll be disappointed and unsatisfied.
