Red Pepper — Restaurant in Grand Forks

This was the driest food I've ever had. The meat was somehow even dry. The person at the counter barely interacted with us. I get bad days exist, I've worked plenty of retail, but a "hello" or a "welcome" would be dope.

The meat didn't taste at all like "Taco" meat, but like the worst quality "manwich" meat on the planet. The person I was there with is one of those "will eat basically anything" kind of guys, and neither of us finished our food, and went elsewhere to have something at least DECENT.

Every single bit of the experience was abysmal as far as food service goes. Will never return.

Honestly baffled how this has a 4.4star on Google.

I hate to say anything bad about red pepper used to go to the original one years ago and I happen to be going through Grand Forks and thought I will go to red pepper again after a few years I went to the new one on 42nd first of all that little punk at the till was so obnoxious and second of all paying extra for taco meat on that grinder was an absolute joke for the amount he spread it on the sandwich thin as butter? I think he was doing it just to be obnoxious he was sitting there grinning and smiling at me with a smirk. I asked for a hard shell taco and a grande he threw my stuff into my bag. so I guess it'll be a few more years before I ever go back there again that's a bad thing about these places they get such a good famous name for many years then they go to hell like...

I gave it 2 stars because I know the potential is there for greatness, but not right now. I stopped by last week for a grinder (my go to menu item for years) and it was HORRIBLE. The bun was awful and definitely not the super-soft delicious goodness that I was expecting. It was way too dry and just wrong. I took a few bites and threw the rest in the garbage. I get that sometimes in business you have to try something new to cut costs, etc., but this was a BAD decision. Don't mess up a perfect sandwich recipe that has such a loyal following. I definitely won't go back unless I hear that they changed the buns back to the original ones :( Please fix this for your long time customers that just want the sandwich they...
