This place has to have the worst customer service I have ever received, and it was from the OWNER "Krista". My wife and I checked in to the La Quinta in Grand Junction and asked the lobby for good food that delivers. I was advised to call Pantuso's has great service and delicious food and was given a menu. My wife and I looked at the menu and decided to order the following items while staying at the La Quinta, Calamari 9.95, Shrimp Diavolo 17.95 and Seafood Fettuccini 19.95 total before taxes 47.85. I asked how much my bill would be and I was told 52.35 and I would get my food at La Quinta in about 45 minutes. About 20 minutes later I receive a phone call from this restaurant, from what sounded like the person I ordered from and she said Ohh I'm Sorry I made a mistake on your bill we have to charge you 63 dollars. I asked why and she stated Ohh because there is a delivery charge of 2 dollars and gratuity of 9 dollars. I'm like What? I could understand the 2 dollar delivery charge but the mandatory 9 dollar tip kind of set me back. I always tip well but never heard of mandatory tip. So I said you know what cancel the order. I hung up the phone and told my wife what happened and she said call the manager. I took her advice and called back and asked to speak to a manager and to my surprise I had Krista the owner on the phone. I was happy thinking that there was just a misunderstanding and explained what just took place and that one of her employees gave me a price and then added money. This was my response from Krista, "I cant hear you, what did you say" . I could hear noise in the back round so I raised my voice so she could hear me, and explained about why my bill would change when I was quoted a price for food delivered.. Krista said this "Look I'm Busy I did not talk to you and I don't know what your talking about, nor do I care I'm busy and have no time for you". I tried once again to explain and Krista said with pure attitude look at your menu you are getting room service from me so I get 9 dollars for this delivery plus 2 dollars for the delivery. I asked if I could have the delivery for the original price given and Krista just excused me like I was inconveniencing her and said stop yelling at me I have a busy business to run and hung the phone up on me. I was like WOW. I would advise those who stay at the hotels in this area to never order here. I am 45 years old and never had such bad customer service from an "OWNER" in my...

We went Sunday on labor day weekend, maybe they were short staffed, ran out of ingredients and the kitchen was being run by inexperienced bussers? I cannot begin to understand how an experience this bad was allowed to happen. We had a reservation and we were promptly seated, 12 of us for a family birthday dinner. After that it was bad at every turn. 20 minutes before we saw our server. 30 minutes before a drink order was taken. 40 minutes before we were even able to get appetisers ordered. We were never offered refills on drinks, not that we would have risked waiting another 20 minutes to get them. Our food should never have left the kitchen. Over cooked shoe leather steaks, the cheap steak knives were unable to cut through. We were brought a pairing knife from the kitchen to rectify the situation. Minestrone that was broth only, we commented on it and we were brought a cup of veggies no broth. Sauces that were made of cream only, no salt, no pepper, no garlic, nothing but cream. The red pepper sauce was nothing but cream and red bell peppers tossed on top. Shrimp and scallops, while not over or undercooked, looked and tasted boiled with no salt. Vastly undercooked chicken, they apologised and remade the dish, while no longer raw also not good. None of the pasta was what the menu had said it would be. Stuffed pepper looked like a meatloaf has been packed into it. Steaks were cheapest quality possible, fries were a frozen cheap quality. None of the entrees should ever have left the kitchen. If you don’t have the ingredients or sauces to prepare a dish correctly then don’t serve it. The ambiance was weird. This wants to be a 30 dollar an entree more upscale Italian restaurant. The table was set with big beautiful red wine glasses, giant plastic coke cups, paper napkins, silverware a step above plastic, and flameless votive candle pucks. The server had not even basic menu knowledge and didn’t not seem very interested in doing her job with any kind of urgency, her vibe was pretty meh. Normally everyone gets dessert and coffees or after dinner drinks when we dine out. We were offered dessert but at that point were exhausted from being disappointed. In the end we received a coupon for 15 percent off of our next visit. Truly not at all wanting to return. We had been really excited to have a restaurant back in the old Dos Hombres. Olive garden would have at least have met our expectations and we would...

We're from out of town and wanted good Italian food, not a pizza place that also serves pasta. Found Ristorante Pantuso on Maps and checked out the reviews, at first we were concerned about complaints of price and one reviewer didn't find the booths clean. Our experience was fantastic. The restaurant was very clean, and being from SoCal, the prices didn't seem high at all (drinks, bread, salad, entree's and desert for 2 came out to $80). Also, when you consider quality over quantity, it's well worth it. We had the ravioli and lasagna, both were delicious. The food is made there and follows recipes passed down from the original owners (been in business 58 years). All of the flavors blended well without one flavor overpowering the others. The ravioli filling was creamy, but not mushy, and the portion (8) was perfect to leave me satisfied, but not uncomfortably full. The lasagna serving was more than my wife could handle. The cheese in the lasagna was very smooth, unlike some cheaper lasagnas that taste pasty, and it wasn't overdone with cheese to the point you can't taste anything else. All of the staff was extremely friendly (we've actually noticed people in Grand Junction are some of the friendliest, most courteous people we've encountered), and the owner was working that night. I hope the staff realizes the huge deal it is that the owner is working side by side with them, mixing drinks, serving, bussing, delivering checks, and all the while chatting with patrons. Our server was top notch and my only complaint is she hasn't yet tasted everything on the menu, so she couldn't offer an opinion on some dishes. As an added bonus, the night we were there, the original owners came in for dinner. It was awesome to see the current owner excited about the opportunity to share her experiences, and receive feedback on how well tradition is...

First of all, let me say that I was NOT expecting food of this caliber at a restaurant that looked, from the outside, like a mediocre chain of Mom & Pop's restaurants. Man, was my wife and I wrong AND pleasantly surprised! The food was outstanding, the service was exceptional, and the value was right on par. Our server, Matt, could not have been more pleasant and personable if he tried. Even under pressure (near closing with several full tables), he was as charming to us as though we were the only customers there. In fact, he was the one who suggested the Gnocci in Pesto sauce. And it was 100% divine! Paired with a nice Pinot Noir made it the perfect late night dining spot. Oh, and the bread? As much as I try to stay away from the extra carbs, it was not whispering, but YELLing my name. Yes; I ate entirely too much. My ONLY beef about the entire experience was that the canned music overhead was so loud (and annoying) that if it weren't for the fact that I was fully enamored (and engulfed) with my pasta, I would have stopped to say something. Whatever. Bottom line: if your travels find you in the Grand Junction area of the beautiful state of Colorado, stop in and enjoy the dinner.

Went to the bar for happy hour and wanted to have a few drinks, calamari and a pasta dinner. Unfortunately things have changed. Their happy hour is decent with half price drinks, but they no longer do half price appetizers. The appetizers are now $4 off which is appreciated, but they are still way overpriced at $18.50 and up. They were out of the calamari so we ordered Tuscan Spinach & Artichoke dip. The dip was creamy and didn't really taste like spinach and had teeny tiny little pieces of chopped spinach in it. It somewhat tasted like artichoke but really it should have been sold as roasted garlic dip as that was the main flavor. It did have some red pepper on top but this was literally the weirdest spinach and artichoke dip I've ever had. A massive deviation from what normal people would consider classic spinach & artichoke dip. It was like a whipped consistency and didn't really have much flavor. Because of the experience with the dip we decided to finish our appetizer and drinks and head somewhere else for dinner. Unfortunate as we had high hopes for this place.

I have been wanting to try this place for months, after realizing it was so close to home, was able to stop in to try the lunch menu. Too many choices, and I decided to try the Godfather sandwich from the lunch menu. Ive eaten about 30 different Italian sandwiches from across the country, and this was by far the best. The bread appears to be homemade, with perfect texture, crunch and spring! The meats, which are plentiful, seem to be high end imported varieties, with 2 salami, and a wonderful spicy capocola, and they do not skimp!!! Delicious shredded provolone, and a very nice array of fresh lettuces, and veggies, even some black olives. This sandwich was Top Notch hands down.!! Cannot wait to come back and try the Pizzas and Incredible pasta dishes. All kitchen items are from scratch, and you can tell they care about their creations! Hands down Best Italian Food in GJ!!! There is a reason this place has been opened for so many years! Owners are super cool, and I will support this Business again and again. Thank You Chris and Krista!!!! 😋😋😋 Oxtail Ragu 😋😋😋😋
