My favorite GR pizza place! We got Andrea's for the first time a couple years ago the same day we moved into the neighborhood (previously lived on the NE side) and we continue to get Andrea's every couple of weekends. Absolutely great pizza and the prices are good too. There's always plenty of staff on hand to handle orders in a timely manner (never had to wait longer than 30 minutes after ordering online) We actually ordered some last night and while checking out I noticed that on the page that says "would you like to add any of these items to your order?" (usually has sides, sauces, desserts, etc) they had baseball caps. Only $7.99! I couldn't resist.

This is our go-to pizza shop for all things pizza. Whether for new friends, visiting family, or just avoiding making a meal, we eat here. The sauce is amazing and the hand tossed crust is texturally perfect. They have a great variety of toppings to choose from, some interesting pizza selections, and all the standard favorites. They even have gluten free options. The take out and delivery experience is always pleasant. The owners and staff love what they do. There is no better stop than Andrea’s.

Andreas Pizza is a local, family owned gem. The pizza and salads are so fresh and good! Andreas has been my local pizza go to for the past 5 years and everything I’ve gotten there I’ve loved. I always do carry out, so I can’t speak to the delivery critiques others have posted. But the in store service and food is great. Pictured: small cheese pizza and wings.

I had heard great things about this place but sadly I cannot agree. I had previously had a couple of their specialty pizzas (chicken pesto, buffalo chicken, and deluxe) and I was not impressed by any of them. We decided to give them a try again last night thinking maybe their regular create your own pizzas were better than their specialty pizzas, but sadly I was mistaken. We got a pepperoni and onion pizza and asked for it to be baked 1-2 min longer than usual for a crispy crust.

Pros: Their end crust is great. It has a nice crunch/bite without seeming like it's stale or over done. The extra bake time was great for the outer crust.

The pepperoni was flavorful

Cons: The sauce. I do not understand why people think this pizza is so great because this is one of the worst tasting pizza sauces I have ever had. It tastes like tomato flavored water with no spices or herbs to give it flavor/kick. It's so watery that it just seeps into the crust, makes it soggy and forms what looks like a gelatinous layer that tastes doughy.

The rest of the crust. Because of the watery sauce, the only advantage of the slightly longer bake time was on the outer crust mentioned above. The rest of the crust was still floppy, soggy, and undercooked.

Amount of cheese. As others have mentioned, many of the pieces had sauce all the way up the outer crust to the point where you couldn't grab the piece without getting sauce on your hands, but the cheese didn't start for a good 1.5" - 2" from the crust.

Greasy. The cheese sometimes separates because of the grease, and with a lot of the pieces, if you try to take a bite, all of the toppings slide off the whole piece so you have to hold the cheese/toppings in place to eat it.

Time. It was 8pm on a Sunday night, which doesn't seem like prime time, and it was still 35 min for pickup. Even on Friday and Saturday nights at 7pm, I haven't had more than a 25-30 min wait time, so this seemed long to me.

Overall, if they added some more cheese and made a better, more flavorful sauce it might not be so bad, but I just can't get behind them. There are much better local and/or family owned pizza...

So, I'm only in grand Rapids because my spouse had surgery, so I'll likely never be back anyway, but thank God for that. This was probably the most incompetently made pizza I've ever had.

I ordered a Veggie pizza, on thin crust, with anchovies on half. I wanted them on half because I like anchovies and my spouse does not.

Normally, you if you have a topping that only goes on half, you want to put it on last so you know exactly where it is when you go to cut it. Not so here; they were put on first, and then promptly utterly buried by the heaping pile of wet vegetables in the middle of the pizza. They had a new guy cut my pizza, not realize there were anchovies on half, so a more experienced guy comes over and says "well I think they're in this half"

The giant pile of water filled veggies being piled high in only the middle of the pizza meant the thin crust pizza became so utterly soggy, it was just falling apart.

I am not exaggerating when I say it was the most incompetent pizza I've ever had. I'm glad I won't have to try it again...

I'm am very sad to leave this review, but tonight was the last time we will order from Andrea's. Three years ago we moved into the area and we're so excited to hear a great pizza place was so close. The first time we ordered it was like fireworks in our mouths - the pizza was fantastic. Since then the taste and quality has declined. Tonight was an all time low. I don't know if the quality, or lack of, was due to being too busy, the fact that the pizza was a 'special, or just the norm. There was so little cheese on it, it was a good 2" from the edge. It appeared to be pre-cooked with just sauce and cheese only and then whatever toppings were ordered were thrown on and put back in a warmer. When it came home it wasn't even warm - we live within 2 miles. Part of the crust was wet and soggy. Frankly it was the worst pizza we have had, ever. We had just finished a huge project and we're so tired and hungry, otherwise we would have...
