Sugar Shack Cafe — Restaurant in Granite City

So I have ordered numerous items from this restaurant through the DoorDash app, and my biggest complaint is that they will make substitutions and they don’t call you even though my number is available they can tell the Dasher to let me know and I don’t like just everything they gave me a turkey leg can’t stand them they gave me some ripped tips I can’t stand them so you know it’s really a waste of my money , but I will say that their greens are very good. Cabbage is usually good. It was not today. Coleslaw is fair. I did not like the potato potato salad. Their catfish nuggets were very good. Made a mistake trying to schedule a breakfast meeting at a place I've never been before. Turned into a delicious one, despite having battery issues and having to reschedule my meeting. I understand they are opening a diner very soon too. I'll be sure to check it out. Steve tried to help me jump the battery enough to turn it over. Fed me while I waited. Despite being swamped with holiday catering orders and prep for the week of Christmas, stopped to help me. I generally only leave reviews when something happens and my expectations are exceeded. I have been trying to get the kool-aid for 2 years. It's always out. Table of 5, food came out cold. Servers have no training. It seems they are always out of too many items. No chicken, no tea, no kool-aid, no sweet potatos. Soggy fried green tomatoes. Tasteless pulled pork. Mac and cheese is not good enough to be talked about.
