I just dropped in here on Friday for lunch and it was great. It is nice to find another good BBQ place here in Melbourne. The area is severely lacking in good BBQ overall. This is a gem. Some good down home friendly service combined with some tasty BBQ. I tried the ribs, pulled pork, and brisket. All had good smoke flavor and were very tender. The ribs had a nice dry rub on them which is what prefer. The pulled pork was super tender. The brisket was very good and seasoned well. All had just the right amount of smoke flavor. My only small knock is I am not a big fan of the sauces. Thatâs a highly personal thing anyway so some may like something that others donât. No worries I did takeout so I was able to put my own homemade BBQ sauce on the pulled pork. The ribs and brisket donât need any sauce, they are super tasty without it and my preference is consider on those anyway. I like a little sauce on the pulled pork though. Definitely do yourself a favor and give this place a try if you havenât. Warning thoughâŚyou probably wonât want to go to any of the other so called BBQ places in the area after you try...

Read moreI live about a mile from this little wooden trailer place and get a discount for gas at the station, so I am there a good bit, and every time, the barbecue smells just heavenly. Finally, I caved in and gave it a try. Yes, the view isn't great and it's by a gas station convenience store, but so what? The food is absolutely WONDERFUL, the people are very nice and the portions are HUGE and not pricey. Since I lie so close, I take my sandwich home with me, or there are lovely picnic tables with lovely views just a bit further south on the riverside at the Grant Historical House. Five dollars for the pulled pork sandwich is more than fair as it easily makes two meals and is piled so high. I eat half and save half and ask for an extra serving of the sweet sauce to add when I heat the second half. The roadkill potatoes are also good, but are the only other thing I've ever tried. The pulled pork sandwich is so very, very good that I don't even want to try anything else. It is drip down your chin...
