If you’ve got ample time to squander & desire to increase your carbon intake, make a beeline for this place. Been here before & experienced so-so service & usually good food, but they diligently endeavored to outdo themselves this time with world record poor service & food. Our visits now convince me that their positive reviews must be from bots, employees, & family, or possibly aliens (or perhaps they have a “first team” we’ve never seen, as we’ve been unfortunate enough to keep getting the third string). We arrived to an empty waiting area, & were told the wait would be 15-20 minutes; 27 minutes later, we were seated … ‘praps that was an omen that we should’ve left (?). After they took orders, they likely huddled in back and decided to pretend we weren’t there, & so began ignoring us. While a nearby table that arrived after us was getting oodles of attention, & since she hadn’t checked on us, updated us, or refilled our empty drinks (one gets thirsty when waiting for long periods without lubrication in such a desert!), we had to flag down the waitress as she sauntered by ignoring us. On another of her trips to the nearby table, 35 minutes after we ordered, we flagged her down to seek the status of our dinner -- seeing the table that arrived after us was served & happily munchin’ away. She eventually came back to say they were working on our order, but the hamburger was taking a long time (Say whaaat? A hamburger struggle in a meat restaurant?). Then 45 minutes after our order was placed & 15 minutes after the nearby table had been served, she came by and said they only had one baked potato available, & we’d have to choose which of the two of us that had ordered one would take it & who would choose another side order (Say whaaaat? A meat restaurant without potatoes at 6:30 pm on a Tuesday night? In that 45 minutes we could have gone to a store and bought one for them to microwave for us! And why did it take 45 minutes to tell us?). Though we considered choosing between pistols & swords to duel over that last potato, one of us chose another side order. Well, 56 minutes after we ordered, our dinners finally arrived – unfortunately. The lone hamburger was overcooked, as were other items. The BBQ chicken (see photos) was quite burnt, skin tougher than a tarp; we flagged down the waitress & asked for a REAL knife to cut it, as they only provide plastic forks and knives. She replied they don’t have real knives (Say whaaat? No knives in a meat restaurant?). Well, we got our anaerobic exercise struggling with the chicken to tear it apart to find meat (please don’t tell anyone the chicken won that bout) …much of it far too tough & dry to eat, with the wing totally burnt down to an inedible crispy critter. After the manager noticed our unhappiness, she tried to joke with us, & even offered a slight price reduction (we paid full price anyway). The crowning moment of the night came as we were leaving: a “lady” from the nearby table approached us and said we’d been wrong & rude to the waitress. Say whaaat? For inquiring about refills? For inquiring on the status of our order? For questioning about the baked potato? For asking for a knife? No! Turns out the table the waitress was devoting so much time to had her grandparents, & ‘splains why they got food so quickly with continuous attention as we got zilch! Having the hilarious audacity to approach us blazingly ignorant of the facts, it’s also apparent they were coddling their snowflake versus telling her how to be a good waitress, as she was obviously whining to them about how mean were to go to a restaurant & expect drinks, status of our order, to get what we ordered, & to have ability to cut meat. How mean of us, how nice of her to revise & inflate that to her grandparents, & for them to blindly believe it. As someone whose first job was in a restaurant, and who later had 12 restaurants & 4 cafeterias under him, I’d have a team meeting to talk customer service -- & the fine art of controlling fire to cook versus burn. Good luck!

I’m not quite ready for indoor dining ( due to Covid) but luckily there are 2 or 3 outside tables w a view of the water. It’s noisy ( road traffic) but once the food arrived it didn’t matter. It was outstanding! I’m not usually a big fan of bbq restaurants but this was different. I had 1/2 lb smoked sliced brisket that was flavorful and incredibly tender. My side choices were applesauce and Mac n Cheese, both great and just enough. My husband had 2 kinds of ribs, baby back and St Louis style and liked them both. His sides were cole slaw and sweet potato fries ( up charge for sweets instead of regular fries). We didn’t go inside but could look in the interior and it is a really interesting historic building. Service was really great, food came out quickly. Oh and the PECAN PIE !!!! My husband said it was one of the best he’s ever eaten. Great crust and pecans layered all the way to the bottom without tons of goo. We were there for lunch and will def go back again soon.

Great little barbecue spot. Just missing a little attention to detail when it comes to food. My wife and children love the ribs!!@ But MY brisket was tough. But I understand that it just came on the menu a few weeks ago. There was one server that was catering to a 25 top and a 10 top but the manager stepped in just in time to offer assistance so we did not feel to much neglected. Brisket should be cooked low and slow and be soft and tender and the portion size was very small 3 thin strips for 15$ (see pick). But when I asked a manager for a second side of brisket (b4 I tasted it😔) that I was going to pay for she brought it out for FREE. If the brisket had not been very tough this place would have gotten 5 stars. The mac & cheese was good the baked beans flavor was very good although again it should have been could a little slower as the beans still has a bite to them. Great beers! Good management!! Downstairs ice cream spot was exceptional!!

A Perfect Wedding Experience at The Barn I recently had my wedding at "The Barn," and I couldn't have asked for a more perfect day. The venue is known for its rustic, charming barn atmosphere with beautiful lighting, which adds to the unique and cozy experience. This is what we loved about it from the start. It's true the venue doesn't have air conditioning, but we were fully aware of that when we booked, and it was a part of the authentic barn experience that we wanted. Despite the weather challenges from the recent hurricane, the staff and venue accommodated everything flawlessly, and my guests had a fantastic time.

In response to the previous review, I want to clarify a few things based on my own experience: The food, utensils, plates, and beverages are all chosen by the bride and groom. The restaurant simply follows the couple's preferences, and the food is kept warm in heater boxes to ensure it’s served fresh. Any concerns about the chicken or utensils reflect personal taste, not the restaurant’s standards. The staff looked incredibly professional. The bartender wore a stylish and classy jumper, and the restaurant staff wore the standard, appropriate attire issued by the establishment. My daughters were my wedding planner and I would be so upset had anyone accused either one of them doing anything inappropriate. I think that comment might insult the bride. The bride and wedding planner normally build a tight bond while planning the important date. Let’s hope the bride & groom do not see that review. It was probably an invite that was done out of obligation. Regarding the mention of health code violations about the servers' sleeves, I can confidently say that the staff maintained hygiene standards throughout the evening, and there's no regulation in Florida requiring long sleeves for food service staff. Their appearance was neat and fitting for the event.

Finally, I was in communication with the servers during the wedding to ensure everything was running smoothly, including confirming the time for dinner service. The staff was courteous and attentive, which made our wedding day go off without a hitch.

I can’t say enough good things about "The Barn" and the team who made our special day one to remember. I understand that each guest may have different preferences, but my experience—and the feedback from most of my guests—was overwhelmingly positive.

I think it’s also important to mention. This was our second time booking The Barn. Our daughter had her wedding reception here and the outcome is the same.

Looking forward to booking & having Rib City cater our 1 year anniversary...

Terrible customer service all the way to the MANAGER! We have given Rib City a couple of tries. NEVER AGAIN after tonight nor will recommend Rib City to anyone. The first time I was so excited we just moved to the area and is so close to our home. We enjoy sitting at the bar have a couple of drinks and have dinner, bar staff was cold to the point of rude and got worse when we asked if we could eat at the bar, our first time we put it to the side and understand everyone has bad days. The second time we came in we brought 3 other friends, again sat at the bar because we wanted drinks and all of us wanted dinner, from the moment we sat down we could feel the cold/rude atmosphere from the staff. We ordered 2 of the fry appetizers with pulled pork and took forever for it to be brought to us, the fries were SO over cooked, hard, but we were all so hungry we tried to eat them, we left over half, when asked if we wanted a box we said no they were way over cooked, NO apology was given. We had to wait on our dinners as long as we waited on our appetizers with items missing off our meals and had to ask for everything, no one checked on us as the staff was laughing and joking behind the bar. But as soon as we asked for something the laughing and joking stopped and it became cold and rude again. None of us finished our meals we just wanted to go at this point. Tonight I drove up to Rib City to the ice cream shop for 2 chocolate malts. Staff member from the bar came over to make them, I was told there was only enough for 1 chocolate malt, I said ok, I will take that with a strawberry malt. As I patiently waited I put money in the tip jar on the counter, thanked her and went home. I handed the chocolate malt to my boyfriend he open the lid to find it was ONLY 1/2 full! After paying FULL price of $5.00 each for SMALL shakes and giving a tip, he instantly called to speak to someone about this problem. He asked for the Manger a girl got on the phone and said she was and she made the shakes, when asked why did we get charged FULL price for a 1/2 cup we were told "WELL WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO DO ABOUT IT"!!!!! Blown away by her response we hung up the phone, I will be addressing this issue personally to someone who is a...
