Where does one even begin with this train wreck?! The first thing you'll notice is the amount of flies in the place. The waitress we had was ten second tammy because we had to remind her two or three times for sauces, drinks, and boxes. We ordered bacon and eggs for one boy. The bacon was so overcooked it was borderline edible. The other boy had a chicken strip with flies...... I mean fries. (Or did I?) The chicken "strip" was actually a thin "patty" meant for a sandwich. It was more breading than chicken and was also fried so long it was burnt to a crisp. My significant other had a Navajo taco which was buried under such an extreme amount of beans, the scone became soggy and dough-like. I had a Malibu chicken sandwich which I couldn't finish. It was so oily my plate was covered in grease. The bun soaked up a lot of the grease and the sandwich fell apart. The cheese was rubbery and the lettuce had a weird chemical taste to it. I feel sorry for the staff having to push this garbage on customers with a straight face. The flies wouldn't even land on the food, just near it. They need to change the spelling of the restaurant from "virg's" to "verge"...... as in I'm on the verge of being sick from this place! The people giving this place 5 stars and raving about the food are either friends or relatives of the staff, or people that think spam and Kraft macaroni and cheese are...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreA lot of customers review this place poorly, and I don't understand it. I had a very good experience, with delicious food and a price value that beats most businesses in tooele county. Yeah, the wait can get a little long, but it's a brand new business that's still finding its feet, and with the lack of options out here, had a really crowded launch, with more customers showing up for the lunch/dinner segment than the parking lot can fit. And Virg's as a business deserves that kind of hype, because you can buy enough food here for $10(+tip) to feed you for two days, and I found it to be a very comfortable, quiet environment, with a varied and tasty menu, and reasonably efficient staff.
But there's clearly some things that management needs to put more thought into, like having the checkout counter, entrance, and lobby designated into about 5 feet of space, which is just ridiculously short-sighted. Customers checking out have to squeeze through customers checking in, and waiting to be shown to the table is 5 groups in the exact same spot. For the good of the business, the pandemic, and my personal comfort, have the sense to keep the entrance unobstructed and add a door that done customers can leave through.
That said, that's literally my only complaint. Try to get seated in the side room, I find it much more easy...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy boyfriend and I have gone twice since they Virgs opened up in Granstville, and both times we've gone we've been amazed at the excellent service, quality and quantity of the food. There's some bad reviews for this place, and I can assure you they don't deserve them, the staff is extremely friendly, caring and they are all doing a wonderful job. The food is always excatly how we want it and they give you so much that we have dinner for the next day as well. Yes, there's a slight wait for the food, but it's made fresh when you order it so it's completely worth it. I can not express enough how in awe I am every time I've gone. Everything is always so clean, including the bathrooms, the staff goes above and beyond for every customer that comes in and the food is made with quality ingredients by people who know what they are doing. If I could give this place more stars I would, I definitely recommend giving them a try, you wont be disappointed.
Edit: it's 2 months later and I would like to state that I still fully stand by this, if anything I am more impressed than I was before. They were excellent while finding their footing, and they have only improved now that they are starting to find it. I would not change a single thing about this location, but everytime I go they have found a new...
