Manee Thai — Restaurant in Gray

Very sadly, my once very high praise for Manee Thai now must be redacted. When they first opened, I was extremely impressed by the freshness of the ingredients used, the consistency with which the food was prepared and their expeditious, courteous service. While the quality of the ingredients appears to have stayed close to the same, the consistency with which the food is prepared has not - nor has the service. Spiciness of food can vary widely depending on the night, and in the last year, every time I've ordered takeout there, the wait has been abysmal - solidly AT LEAST a 1/2 hour LONGER than what I was told on the phone when placing the order, and twice now, it was actually a full hour longer - NO exaggeration. The wait, compounded by having to listen to their young male host as he attempts to regale young female customers with his "worldly charms" has just...

Very friendly staff... I didn't have enough money one time to cover drinks and he gave them to me for free. I go there at least once a week and they are by far the BEST THAI in Maine! Southern at least I've tried almost all in Portland and Westbrook and windham! No other THAI restaurant compares so I've stopped trying new ones cause nobody comes close to the yumminess here! Wait time is sometimes a little long they are becoming really popular so maybe a little understaffed I would work there if I could.... But I would give a 100 stars if I could and I love...

Apparently they don’t know how to cook meat, which is concerning and disgusting. Thank God my son is observant about his food because I figured with a beef teriyaki kids meal the meat would at least be cooked.He got many raw chunks of meat and it smelled AWFUL like truly rotten meat. I made my other kiddo throw his chicken away and then inspected the chicken in my meal which was also pink on the inside. Absolutely unacceptable. It was our first time here and we will never...
