Dulce Margaritas — Restaurant in Grayslake

First not one to ever write one of these things. Just my opinion and I hope it helps them not hurt them. I do not want this to bring any negative energy to the place. Good news guacamole excellent! Nice chunky pieces of avocado. Red Hot salsa sauce was the best!! The hottest I have ever had. Retried was very yummy!!! Bad news it smelled like the same stinky rag was sitting in a container with bleach and was being used to wipe things around. Change the rag and solution your cleaning with. Shrimp cocktail, was very fishy. Not sure how long that shrimp has been sitting around. BUT FUNKY! Ice tea tasted bad (not sure if water filter system isn’t being used or it had been sitting in same container) no sweet n low or Splenda available. Steak frajita - steak was very tasty but way way too much oil. It was freezing in there. It was a windy nasty rainy night. Music was so loud that server and hostess, could hear me, when I ordered my dinner and let the server know that the shrimp was not good, I had explain what I was saying to them over and over. They were very nice in there, asked if I wanted something else or wanted them to remake the shrimp cocktail. I just didn’t want anything with shrimp after that. I was happy with guacamole and chips and some of my daughters dinner. I’m just not sure what’s going on in the restaurant. Hope owner reads this and checks on some of these areas, to...

We were not welcomed by any host, they were inside chatting, and came out until the cook let them know of our presence, a waiter came out and asked us if our order was to go or to be consumed in the premises, (kind of odd question since we were four of us), we were looking for a table to sit but only one available had only two chairs, I have to pull other two chairs by myself and the waiter was just standing looking at me and my daughter fixing the chairs, menus were offered and a small basket of rather old tortilla chips was offered, there was only one person sitting beside us waiter for his order and I was able to see that his food was delivered to go while he was expecting it to eat there, no apology but a comment from the waitress stating “that’s why you look to me in such a way” referring to the other customer, so no place to ever go back... positive comments are kind...

I do not recommend this place!! I got food poisoned here! Just recently my family and I dined in (first big meal for my husband after graduating Navy bootcamp) and I knew something was off when telling the waitress what we wanted to order. My daughter wanted CHICKEN quesadilla and I wanted CHICKEN Flautas. She asked to repeat what I wanted and told her again, then another waitress came over asking what I wanted when I said it clear as day. When they brought over our food I got what I ordered but my daughter got STEAK. I thought that was weird. Within I think 2-3 hours I was completely ill, puking my guts out, almost blacking out I couldn’t even move. Thank you for at least not giving my daughter chicken or we would be spending our trip in the hospital but you could have at least been honest and offered me something else. We will definitely NOT be coming...
