Blue Collar Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Green Bay

We stopped at Blue Collar Bar & Grill because we’ve heard so many good things about their fish fry, and honestly, we had to see what the hype was about.

We started with the cheese curds, which had a nice crisp breading, but unfortunately, more than half were missing the actual cheese inside. Just empty crunchy breading, a little disappointing.

For dinner, we ordered: The Steak Sandwich (6oz ribeye) The Mushroom & Swiss Burger The 3-Piece Perch Plate The Fried Cod Dinner

The Steak Sandwich was seasoned and cooked really well, but the meat was tough to bite through and had to be eaten with a fork and knife.

The Mushroom and Swiss Burger was pretty “blah”. The bun was way too big for the patty, which threw off the balance. Unfortunate, since we heard good things about their burgers too.

Both the perch and cod had the same seasoned cornmeal-style batter. The batter was crispy and flavorful, and the fish itself was tender, flaky, and cooked perfectly. There was a slight taste that the oil could’ve been changed, but overall the fish was great. Large portions and fair prices.

We were pleasantly surprised by how clean and busy the place was when we walked in. Our server, Laura, was super friendly.

The bar has 10 TVs, a good amount of space, and a solid atmosphere. Definitely somewhere we would come back to watch the Packers play.

Due to all of the great reviews I was so excited to try this place for the first time. I had ordered through EatStreet. When my order had arrived it was completely wrong and not at all what I had ordered. I then proceeded to call the establishment. When I called the lady who answered said I could just talk to the cook.. so the cook had got on the phone. I let him know that my order was completely wrong. He claimed that “That’s the order I received on my end” I let him know that was not at all correct and I had it right in front of me what I had ordered and proceeded to tell him. He said well I don’t know what to tell you that’s what I see on my end and wasn’t going to do anything about it.

Extremely Extremely upsetting!

Despite the issue I ended up just eating the burger they had gave to me because what else was I going to do at that point? I had ordered for delivery the reason being I could not leave my home for the night. It was Decent/average food. Although, the cook was not helpful or friendly at all about the situation. I will never order from the establishment again.

(Yes I am getting refunded through EatStreet but is not the point of the way I was treated over the phone...

Foodie Duane The Wisconsinite had the pleasure to stop here on Friday September 20th,2024 for a late lunch. They have quality bar food. It’s all made from scratch! They hand press there own burger patties, they have weekly and daily specials. They have plenty to offer for drink selection and menu for food. They are known for there homemade from scratch pizza! It’s one of a kind. A must try! Large portions! Affordable prices! Welcoming atmosphere! Great Staff! Merchandise to buy to support establishment! They have plenty of entertainment that comes through! Follow them on Facebook! All there food is made with the freshest ingredients and they are locally sourced! If you live in the area, traveling through, coming for vacation, coming for a Packers game, looking to make a road trip, they are a must try!! They are a great uptown Wisconsin Sports Bar!
