This is my Jack Hammer burger, mushroom and Muenster with bacon and a grilled onion slice. It was excellent, as was my friend's burger-brat patty combo. Our first visit. We'll be back. The Hammer Inn is a friendly old-school blue-collar neighborhood tavern near factories and a paper mill. A bunch of regulars sitting at the bar. Tap beer served in 8-ounce glasses, another sign of a good place.

First time here and it did not disappoint. The burger was fresh and hand-pattied on a soft bun. It tasted like my Grandmother used to make, and she made great burgers! The bartenders were friendly, attentive and fast! Great spot to give a try if you are around and looking for a neighborhood type bar.

Amazing staff, quick and cordial service. Much more down to earth than some other bars in the Green Bay Area. Burgers are 100% the best from a bar that I’ve ever had. Cheese curds and curly fries are definitely a must-have when eating here. Everything is reasonably priced. 10/10 would recommend

This was our second visit, and once again, the cheeseburger & fries were delicious. The beer was ice cold, the service was on point, and while the place is dimly lit, it’s super clean and surprisingly cozy. Kind of like a dive bar that discovered hygiene & strip club lighting.

The bar itself has a funky, unique shape—like someone started drawing a regular bar and then got distracted halfway through. The décor is basic. Less is more sometimes. One of the big screens was playing Newsmax, which turned into an unintentional comedy show. The level of propaganda was absolutely bonkers, but in a way that made it hard to look away like a train wreck. Think: reality TV meets political theater.

The bar’s in the Shipyard Redevelopment Area, right next to the Olde Norwood neighborhood in Green Bay. It’s a part of town steeped in the city’s working-class history—a cool mix of industry and business that goes back generations. Gentrification is slowly creeping in, and the Tank and Shipyard neighborhoods are starting to get a facelift… one trendy bar at a time. It’s definitely...

If you are looking for someplace casual, with cold beer and GREAT food, this is the place to be. While it's plain to look at on the outside, don't pass on by for some place "flashier". The French Onion soup was the best I've had in a long time. The onions were perfectly cut and just the right texture, the croutons and melted cheese on top, perfection! The burger was fresh, and cooked perfectly. My spouse had the homemade Cheddar/Broccoli soup, which was also delicious! The beer was cold and hit the spot on such a warm day. Cynthia and Ashleigh(spelling??) were both welcoming and made us feel right at home. We may not be from the Green Bay area, but we will make an effort to come back again and...

When looking for a casual, “towny,” bar, you may face the worry of avoiding stumbling into a sketchy place. This one feels safe, has great food, and is very friendly! Sometimes those casual bars are intimidating because you think everyone knows each other, but they all want to get to know you, too! Pool table, dart board, and bogo drinks all day every day. This place should get more recognition for...
