My roommate and I were VERY excited to try this place as it gets TONS of positive reviews! However. Our experience was everything but pleasant. First, the positives! They played really good music, classic 90’s R&B and the premixed drinks are effing amazing! The bartender even let me request a song! That was the beginning and super fun! Then it came down to order food and that’s where it went downhill…My roommate and I ordered a decent amount of items to test the menu and everything took some time cook but got to us cold!! Umm…HOW!? If it’s just now getting to our table why the hell is ALL of our food cold!? We decided to let the bartender aware of our situation and she grabbed the cook to come talk to us, he IMMEDIATELY was ready to full on fight my roommate while he was trying to tell him that our food was cold. The cook took this SO PERSONALLY and snatched the food container out of my roommates hand and threw it on the counter. He constantly was telling my roommate to not disrespect him, not to talk to him like a little kid when my roommate wasn’t even doing that, he had to raise his voice a tad so the cook could even hear him because of how loud the music was and I guess the cook took that as him getting yelled at. We were very disappointed that this our experience here and officially turned us off to ever coming back. In fact, whenever we drive by it now we full on...

Don't let the looks fool you, I don't leave fake reviews and don't give 5 stars just because. Honestly if you want to try different food then what you are use to then I highly recommend you stop in. I was in town for work and decided to try it I was skeptical of what it would be at first but man did that change quickly. I will tell you hands down 100% this is as authentic as it comes if not better then being on the island. Darren the owner was very welcoming and extremely accommodating, as was the nice lady behind the bar. Not sure what we really wanted to order Darren was excited to give us a "sampling" basically a smaller portion of everything they had on the menu for the day. That's the cool thing about the environment here is you never know what your going to get! The jerk chicken was awesome! Not spicy but packed with flavor, you could tell time and care went into making it. If your looking for something different and want to experience some real home cooked food I highly suggest you give them a try! I doubt you will be...

So delicious and amazing customer service! My husband, our friend and I have had food from Lil' Jamaica's food truck and have never been disappointed! We checked out their permanent location and may have just found our favorite new place in GB! The food, as always, was amazing! Everything was packed with delicious flavors! The outside patio/seating area was cozy but spaces out enough for social distancing. The music and decor (and smell of the grill) makes for the perfect ambience! Finally, they ran out of Mac and cheese and my husband and our friend were sad to miss out...however, at the end of our meal one of the (I believe) owners came over and brought our table a side of the Mac and cheese (free of charge) so they didn't miss out. Again, exceptional. On our way out the door, the other (I believe) owner made it a point to ask us how everything was and if we enjoyed ourselves. This is how small businesses should run! We will 100%...

This little place is amazing! If you live Jamaican food and a great vibe, this is the place. The owners are so kind and friendly, ready to give you options for your meal and suggest drinks. The place is small and colorful with indoor seating as well as an outdoor patio with food trucks with the same delicious Jamaican food, ready to be fired up in warmer weather, or when needed and space where there's live music/bands. Our group ordered the Ox tail and the Jerk Chicken and an egg roll type thingy with a Jamaican twist 😆 it was all incredible! We will definitely be back when the weather weather hits to hang on the patio with some cocktails and music!
