This place has gotten out of control with prices. We ate there tonight and the bill for 2 people was $80. We both got fajitas, the fajitas didn’t come with shredded cheese so we asked for shredded cheese and a side of sour cream. They charged us $3.95 (x2) for a tiny cup of shredded cheese each and 2.95 (x2) for the sour cream. That $16 for just cheese and sour cream, that’s almost the same cost as ordering a whole new order of fajitas.
They were out of sodas, this was the second time we’ve went and they didn’t have fountain drinks and the waitress brought my husbands tortillas but didn’t bring mine till I was almost done with my meal after asking her multiple times to get my tortillas with the extra sour cream and up of cheese. This is now the second time we’ve had a terrible experience with customer service and outrageous prices. So we paid $80 for two people to eat one meal and we drank water, additionally not getting our entire meal until we were almost done them charged $16 for the tiny side cup of cheese and sour cream. The food is sub par, and the service doesn’t, at all justify these prices. I caution anyone eating here, they have significantly increased prices, gotten out of control with “up charging” their customers and customer service is worse than ever before. Pick one of the other two local Mexican restaurants if you’re wanting Mexican. You could eat the same thing for half...
Read moreIf you’re looking for an incredible dining experience at Mariachis, you absolutely need to ask for TRISTIAN as your server! From the moment we sat down, she went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Tristan greeted us with the warmest smile and made us feel right at home.
She’s incredibly knowledgeable about the menu and helped us choose the most delicious dishes. I wasn’t sure what to order, but her recommendations were spot on! the fajitas were sizzling, flavorful, and cooked to perfection! She also suggested the margaritas, and the El Don was my favorite.
What really stood out was Tristan’s attention to detail and how attentive she was throughout the meal. Our drinks were never empty, and she made sure we had everything we needed without us even having to ask. It’s clear she genuinely cares about her customers and wants them to have the best experience possible.
Tristan’s positive energy and professionalism made our visit unforgettable. It’s rare to find someone who goes the extra mile like she does. If you’re dining at Mariachis, do yourself a favor and request Tristan, you won’t be disappointed!
Highly recommend this restaurant, and a huge shoutout to Tristan for making it such a fantastic experience. She deserves all the...
Read moreLove this place. Can't say enough about one of my top two restaurants to go to in Green Cove Springs.
Service is always friendly and prompt. If you come during the middle of the day, there's a happy hour you can take advantage of. They also have daily specials to include both food and alcoholic beverages. If you're interested in deliver or takeout, I've seen them extend the Taco Tuesday special on Uber Eats as well for those days where you can't get to the restaurant itself. The restaurant can get a little busier Friday and weekend nights.
The food itself is above average for standard Mexican-American fare. Personally, I love their street tacos consisting of a variety of different meats of your choice. The Mariachi Burrito and their birria-related offerings are also excellent choices. Every table comes with a free serving of their fresh chips and tasty homemade salsa. As for drinks, there's an abundance of choices from Mexican coke and a ton of different margaritas.
When it's finally time to go, they offer the ability to pay by phone in addition to having the server process the card. It makes getting out a ton easier.
With that being said, give this place a shot. I've tried most of their nearby competitors at this point, and they...
