Woody's Bar-B-Q — Restaurant in Green Cove Springs

If I could give this place negative stars I would. I’ll start by saying I visited the Green Cove location so maybe keep that in mind as you read my review. Don’t go there. Don’t waste your afternoon thinking “oh I wanna try a new place, this is cute” because I did that and here was my experience. Firstly, we didn’t get our drinks until a good 10 mins after they seated us. We ordered beer on draft, one was flat, the other had a mysterious black hair floating in it-so both were not particularly drinkable. Asked for another (without even mentioning the hair because I didn’t want spit in my food) never got it. Mind you we were one of maybe 4/5 tables in the entire restaurant so they didn’t appear to be overwhelmingly short staffed or some other perfectly valid excuse for a missed request like that. (I mean I’m understanding to a degree) So we finally just accept we aren’t having anything to drink and when our waitress finally gets to us, we order our food, all of it was wrong. Like not even like a little mistake, but like the meal was pulled pork and there was no pulled pork -like what..?? If I wasn’t so hungry I would have found it as comical as I do now as I write this review. The staff were not super polite. Not overly rude either, but just one of those “blah, why the heck are people eating here right now this is our break time” kinda attitudes. Over all, this is hands down the worst restaurant I’ve been to. Probably ever. The food was terrible. The drinks were terrible. The service was just so wildly disappointing that I couldn’t even believe the check when I did finally get it after asking 3 different waitresses for it. Like how can this dump be so expensive?! So all in all my review is 0 stars. Do not go. & for the love of God if you do not heed this message and do decide to visit this dumpster fire of a restaurant order a bottle of beer....

Years ago I worked in a Woodys BBQ I. Lake Placid Florida and recently I had the pleasure of revisiting their Green Cove Springs location just south of Jacksonville and was very pleased. First of all, when you are pressed for time a place where the m Ai. Entree is already cooked saves alot of time. I'll give you some of my fans to help you along. Appetizer....def Rings and Squash They are fresh crispy and I like to dip in their homemade ranch or their horsey/source am and paprika dipping sauce.Then I suggest for a cold day a nice hot piping bowl of Brunswick Stew so yummy. Their meats are moist and fresh especially Smoked Turkeyre , Perfect Sliced Pork, spare ribs, a d awesome chicken. It's called a Taste of Woodys. You also get sliced beef and give never met a cook who could keep it moist and sausage but didn't ever care for sausage on. My BBQ plate and the will always allow you to change out your choice so I o.it beef and sausage add more turkey. Here you get two side choices. I suggest fried corn on the Cobb and sweet potato with cinnamon butter and garlic texas toast. Top that off with sweet tea and you ate set. I guarantee Togo boxes will be full The cream pies are ti die for my faves are either chocolate cream or cream of coconut.piled at least 6" high. Our waitress was absolutely terrific her name was Lee. This girl needs a raise as well as cooks. Thank you guys for bringing back the Taste of Everthing I've missed. Oh did I mention for Thanksgiving they will smoke your turkey for you to perfection for s m all fee or order a whole pie not to mention. They cater for homes or office parties ensuring your guest are so grateful. Please if your near Green Cove Springs go in and ask for Lee and the Taste...

We were driving home to Jacksonville and stopped here ... First off our server I'm not sure her name but she was young brunette was very polite, helpful, sweet and good with the three year old in my party for dinner. She was about the best thing about this... The sweet tea was bitter I did 5 sweet and lows and still disgusting... She switched it okay no problem...then the corn nuggets which was my only reason I came because I had a craving for corn nuggets ...0 star they were dry and like they were left out then refried and burnt ... Then we got our food ..I ordered the special sandwich ...pulled pork sloppy style with BBQ beans...and my friend got the pulled pork sandwich combo with fries ... Both our buns were burnt black ...our meat was under cooked I could taste it and his was pink almost ..the baked beans had no seasoning...the fries were the ONLY good thing on our whole table .food was over priced for bad quality and it was the whole table but I'm not one to complain so we took a few bites paid /tipped and left... 50$ for the worst food ever and left hungry and I threw up after ...the service from our server was THE ONLY good thing it was very quite we were one of...
