China Garden — Restaurant in Green Oak Charter Township

Ordered lo mein with pork in a combo. Was given a pretty small portion of lo mein, and a big portion of fried rice. The noodles were great. Very thick and chewy, and had a good flavor. Could've used A LOT more meat, but whatever. The fried rice was gross. It had almost no vegetables, it had a weird texture, and tasted like it was from a package. Ordered General Tso's for and some Hot and Sour soup as carry-out for dinner. Asked for the Generals' spicy and they did a great job. Not overwhelmingly hot, and just enough bite! The broccoli was a hit; crunchy, fresh, and plenty of it! As for the Hot and Sour soup, it had a hint of black pepperyness that I've never noticed in hot and sour before and it was a wonderful addition. I hope to be back...

We have enjoyed this restaurant a lot over the years. Their Singapore Mai Fan is a culinary wonder as is the steamed shrimp with vegetables. We have yet to get an entree that wasn't above average. We have always had excellent customer service as well, the family who owns this restaurant is extremely friendly and affable and their customers are treated sincerely as friends. China...
