Had the worst experience we every had here today. Employee quoted me "wrong price" for 8 chicken tenders only and when we got the receipt, they charged me $17.99 for them! Then she was not going to give me my money back because I would never pay that much for 8 tenders. We were going to sample for first time ever from KFC. We also ordered two pot pies. The employee then called the owner, Angelica Flewelling, to the window, who was the rudest person we have ever encountered. No one was behind us in the drive through and she obnoxiously said "Next time come inside, you took too long at drive through with your questions!" But as I said to her when we ordered, not one soul had pulled up behind us when we ordered. She was so rude to us, despite waiting two years for them to open up, we will not be going back. When I implied she could be fired, she scouffed and then I realized she was the owner with her husband Glen that I had read about when they opened in WL and they own 3 KFC's in area MLive had said ... probably the one in Howell too. So if you are a senior, as we are, and they knew (they give 10% discount), then be sure to watch your bill there. We got our $17.99 back, but what an evil witch she was! We like Krispy Chicken on N. Territorial and Whitmore Lake bowling alley and Captain Joe's good too for chicken! Also the WL tavern good too! Won't go back to be treated so rudely as this woman did ... we will drive to Corbin, KY to the original KFC as we have done in the past. Now that Colonel Sanders knew how to treat his customers: He would rip his name and image right off this new KFC in Whitmore Lake in an instant for having treated "seniors" like that or at any age nobody deserves to be shouted at by a "superior", in her mind only, owner. As seniors, many of us have been owners too, young witchy pooh! BTW, the parking is horrible with drive through during busy hours, so go, if u have to...
Read moreNice new location. Not like Popeye's in Dexter where there is slow service, poor cashier attitudes, and no flow. Even though some of Popeyes food tops KFC food at some places, I will say this location has not failed me so far on anything yet, here the food was good and the service was lightning fast, COMPLETE OPPOSITE of the Dexter Popeyes location. We shall see what happens in the future. I'll come here more often for chicken.
UPDATE: 8/26/23 The short old goat four-eyed scrooge needs to be fired. No personality, no common sense or mannerisms...and only wants to cater to his favorites and has no true ambition to accommodate discounts, he will offer it but it won't come without being a stickler, we had no problems in the past with my mom and I being offered the senior discount. If I come back here again, this will be the difference between either not coming back or still enjoying the food and service as in the past. Minus two stars for now, but may improve if their attitude changes.
UPDATE: Late September 2023 Thanks to whoever found my review helpful. Good improvement since last time, I do not see the old joker anymore and service was what...
Read moreWent a few weeks ago and a mistake was made on my order and my wife's order - no big deal. I call and _ takes my name down with the issue and offers to replace the meals - was more than happy with the over-correction - didn't even expect this type of correction. I go about a week later to get the replacement meals, order the exact items that were to be replaced, and told that it was only 1 meal. Not even a big deal really, but I added that _ offered to replace both meals that were messed up on my last visit. _ then pops in and finishes taking the order in place of the other woman, starts laughing into the microphone, and I find out why when we get home; instead of completing the proper order, GIANT pieces of rubbery, overcooked chicken were tossed into the meal order, which definitely didn't belong and were clearly inedible as we ended up throwing them away. I guess she was annoyed and decided to take it out on us. In no way was I ever upset, nor did I act rudely, so I'm not sure what prompted this. ( Edited to remove...
