Bromfield's Dining Room — Restaurant in Green Township

Our food and view was amazing and being a Sunday okay with the wait. We will go back again but you could visibly tell the staff was short staff and they felt defeated. Low energy and while definitely met with grace what I hope they will improve on is in those moments they still have to think of others and SEE them.

There was a handicap set of friends. One with walker and one with a cane. Had a reservation and stood there 15 mins. They were struggling and sitting was not good idea. The host messed around with menus. They asked to kindly be seated. Was told one minute while looking at their situation. For 5 mins he played with silverware and walked restraunt. Walked up and said who is first? I asked for the handicapped couple to be sat. He than proceeds to say don’t you have an evening reservation, they confirmed and while visibly struggling to stand says, let me fill stuff out for later, just easier for me…

On our return to the lodge from a previous very favorable stay years ago, we found that both the Broomfield dinning room as well as the lounge were so severely understaffed that we could not dine at either. The restaurant was operating but after a very long wait at the hostess desk, we were told that they were not currently seating because they were so short staffed. About 20% of the tables were in use. The lounge did not open because of no staffing available. So here we are, stuck out in the woods, needing to drive to not so nearby towns for meals. Unfortunately it is very similar to businesses across the country in this time...

Lisa is the most unfriendly manager in the region. If she is your host, I want to greatly apologize for your experience. There’s no reason she should be so demeaning to the staff around her, or better yet, the guests. Please highly consider additional hospitality training for her or consider terminating her employment. I’ve never been so disgusted with someone’s snarkiness or disregard for basic human respect she should not be speaking illy of her other subordinates. Alexis, I love you and you were so sweet.
