Worst experience I’ve had anywhere in a while. We came in for breakfast right as the table behind us was ordering. Heard the server tell them it’d be about a 25-30 minute wait. The server took our order and never told us it would be a while, but we assumed it would be because of what we overheard. An HOUR later, the table behind us still hadn’t got their food and our servers had not checked on us once. Not only did she never bring my mom her drink, but the rest of us never even got refills. No “I’m sorry you’ve been waiting over an hour.” Nothing. Then a server brought out some of the food for the table behind us. They tried it while waiting for the rest to come out, and realized it was completely cold. So those guests left and let us know that theirs was cold and not worth it. When the server came out five minutes later with the rest of their food, we let her know they left because it was cold. She seemed shocked/annoyed, so I reiterated that they obviously didn’t want to eat cold food after waiting an hour for it. Then our server ended up bringing out our food, but it took 15 minutes for all of it to come out. Like the first people were done eating by the time the rest came out. She even asked what happened with the table behind us, and when we explained that they had to wait an hour for cold food, she said, “Well everyone’s having to wait an hour.” To which we told her that it’s not just the wait, but also the fact that it was COLD and there had been no communication with any of us. There were also people next to us who sat down before us who said they found a hair in their food. And the table next to them got there before all of us and still didn’t have their food by the time we all finished and left. The sweet old lady told us all she ordered was a sloppy joe. As we left, we saw they put a sign on the door saying they were closing early. So the service was terrible, our food was lukewarm at best, but at least the entire dining room got to laugh about it together! Anyway, we likely...
Read moreWas really excited for this place and would have loved to give it a 4 star after the mozzarella sticks. Sadly, quite a few things went wrong during the meal that just made me question the experience. For starters, I wanted to order the noodles with mashed potatoes, and was really excited to try something new. I asked our waitress to make sure that mine had no gravy on it because i’m a vegetarian and I don’t eat meat. However, when the dish is brought out there is a gravy on the noodles. So I waited for our waitress to come back so I could ask her what it was exactly. We waited for about 15 minutes in which our waitress actually never came to check back with us. So we had to ask another waitress what it was and we were told that it was a chicken gravy pre-made with the noodles, which we were not informed about and thought there would be no gravy on the dish. Our waitress barely checked on us, and we had a lot of time just waiting around to ask for things as we decided to dine outdoors. Along with this, a lot of the food tasted canned or pre-made and frozen which was disappointing. We also asked why there were customers allowed to dine without masks and received a very rude response. We were told that they didn’t feel they should have to force their customers to wear masks. Which made me feel uncomfortable after dining here. The only things saving this place from a one star review were the decent prices and delicious mozzarella sticks. I wish I would have found somewhere else. I really hate to leave a bad review but this experience here was just not...
Read moreMy wife and I stopped by for a late breakfast this past Thursday. We like trying new restaurants and checking out the surrounding area afterwards. As soon as you walk in the door of the WedgeWing, you are met with a variety of baked goods on display. It was a gauntlet of goodness and delicious treats. I could hear the Apple Fritters calling my name. How did they know my name? Turns out it was my wife getting my attention to stop ogling the pastries. Once seated, our friendly waitress came to our table, provided menus and took our drink order. So many things to choose from on the menu, but I settled on the Breakfast Skillet and I'm glad I did. It's a nice hearty meal, and the homemade toast was amazing. There's no doubt we will return again. With such a nice variety of meals to choose from, I will try something new with each visit. The waitresses we spoke with were just great. We found a new favorite restaurant to add to our list, and it's a nice drive to Perrysville. We would gladly choose a hometown restaurant like this, over a chain restaurant any day. The customer service and quality of the food is so much better, than some chain restaurant where they heat up previously prepared, bags of 'food.' Support hometown gems like the WedgeWing. I can't wait to come back. As it turned out, that Apple Fritter made its way home with me. It...
