Worst experience. I was with a party of 7 and we were mistreated the very moment we walked in. We checked in, gave our head count and were yelled at by a waitress for apparently “blocking the entrance” even though 1 - we were waiting to see if they can accommodate us and 2 - we were not immediately given instructions where to wait. Finally, they setup some chairs in the bar area where we were rudely told to move to while we wait for our table. The same woman who clearly did not want to serve us, asked what we wanted to drink. Three asked for beers, I asked for water. I don’t drink alcohol but the woman refused to serve me water while we waited, apparently because I will be given water when we get seated. While we’re waiting for our table, I was not served water because I will be given water when we finally get seated. Just want to reiterate that.

She dropped off the beers, and as we were talking, confused while I can’t get water, she started yelling at us because she somehow misheard “water” for “wow”. Still don’t understand how that got her wound up. She was clearly trying to find any reason to be upset and I can’t wrap my head around why I can’t get water but it was OK to serve everyone else drinks while we waited.

As this was happening, a waiter walks up and sided with her instantly and so I explained what was happening…. I asked why she couldn’t serve me water while we waited and she flips out and said she’s done and cannot serve us anymore and that we had to leave.

I’ve never been treated in such a manner in my life and this place definitely left a terrible impression. Awful service, extremely pretentious, and frankly, the place is not the most sanitary accompanied by a moldy odor.

I would not recommend this place to anyone. If you’re considering going to this...

It’s been quite a few years since we’ve tried Steakout. It used to be good, not sure what has happened. We called in an order for take-out. Ordered an appetizer and 3 dinners. We wanted to add-on crab legs to 2 dinners but was told they haven’t had crab legs for over 3 years. Perhaps they need to update their online menu! All dinners come with soup or salad, choice of side dish, a relish tray with dip and some bread. The food was packaged very nicely! We didn’t receive our appetizer! The soup of the day was tomato basil. I tried it and it had no flavor. No basil. I would guess that this was tomato juice poured into a bowl! GROSS! 1st dinner was their signature Filet. Came with a couple sautéed mushrooms on the side. I ordered it medium. I tried cutting into it with a steak knife and couldn’t. Not only was it tough but it was raw. I could deal with medium rare but this was RAW! GROSS. 2nd dinner was 7oz Filet with 10oz Lobster Tail add-on. Ordered it medium. It was high end medium well almost well done. No pink, tough and chewy. Lobster was also tough and chewy. 3rd dinner was 7oz Filet with 5oz Lobster Tail add-on. This filet was ordered medium. Came higher end medium/medium well. Just a very faint pink. This one was at least edible. Lobster was ok. Bland. No drawn butter served with either one. This is a steak house. You would think the steaks would be incredible since that’s their main dish! I don’t know if their chef called in and they had to have the dishwasher cooking or what but it was very bad! These have to be select grade steaks for them to be this bad. This was a horrible experience! Not worth $220!! We’ll stick with Casa Di Giorgio. They’re pricey (I would say same price range as here) but you get consistently excellent food. Their...

The Steakout didn't stand out for several reasons. They began by forgetting to seat us and giving away our table. We checked in prior to our reservation and waited in the bar area. 20 minutes after our reservation I checked back in and was advised our party had been seated. When I advised them we were not seated, I was told by the hostess that she was told by another employee that he had seated us. Nevertheless they found us a table within 5 minutes, which was approximately 25 minutes after our reservation. The staff apologized but didn't offer us anything to make it right.

Service was very friendly and professional. Menu selection was lacking a few items I have come to expect from a steak restaurant. The salad was small with very few greens. My food (filet) was prepared as ordered but the steak was bland. I personally don't like a charred steak and that is how they are cooked. The sides were good, I had greenbeans with garlic and parmesan cheese. My wife had a baked potato, which was ample in size. The bar tenders were great. They were efficient and made excellent mixed drinks!

The restaurant itself was very crowded and loud. Not a good location for a romantic dinner date.

Other than the bar service, nothing here stood out. They are clearly not hurting for business but the quality of food wouldn't make me a loyal customer. Maybe they have items other than steak that attract a loyal...

Stopped by with some coworkers to discuss some work over dinner. Our server was great, very attentive and accommodating. Out of the three of us, two of the steaks were under cooked. The one, which was ordered as medium rare came out extremely rare. Not something I would expect from a place that is considered to be a steak place. Our server took care of it immediately. Overall, I thought it was over priced for the quality of the food and atmosphere. The atmosphere is very supper club. Again for the price, I did not expect paper placemats.

Above avg steak for its class of steaks very enjoyable, great cut of meat with good marbling and rich fat.. the lobster was a little rough to chew on but still enjoyable.. the shirmp cocktail was great wish the cocktail sauce was made in house and a tad more horseradish.. the service was ok the bar tenders are ok and waitress was great and provided top tier service and was cute with a nice smile.. overall you can't go wrong here maybe get the smaller lobster it might be more tender..

If you are looking for a classic Wisconsin supper club experience that doesn't break your budget, you have to come and eat at The Steakout. Large bar to have a Old Fashioned while waiting for your table. Wonderful meals that include soup or salad and a side dish. We also were brought bread and a classic relish dish. Steaks and seafood were perfectly cooked as ordered and were delicious. We also had a wonderful server. Highly recommended!
