Denny's Pantry — Restaurant in Greenfield

I loved this place!!! Ate a lot of food and no one judged I'm just a God fearing man who knows what he likes lol. My waitress was on point, my first order biscuits and gravy was out in 30 seconds followed by my coffee. The biscuits and gravy was so good, finished in under 2 minutes, then my egg Benedict came out followed by two blueberry pancakes. I don't usually tip high $$ amounts but the waitress deserved it, checked in with me to make sure everything was going okay cute blonde but also very professional. If I'm leaving a review, I highly value my time you have made a very good first impression. Keep up the great work!! May God continue to bless this place, I will be continuing to be a regular, im glad I found this place. Absolutely the best place around. I literally couldn't wait to leave this review just wanted to make sure it was a good one, so I did it before I drove off in my car. The coffee was just right as well, everything about this place excited me, even the boss lady that took me to my table at the counter as I was eating by myself. She didn't looked like she messed around, but I'm old school and I liked it very much the way things should be. Listen, all in all, if your looking for a great place just to sit and get some chow, or your actually going through some pretty dark times and just want to have a break from society, come to this place it will not disappoint. It was an overall blah experience. The place was clean so there's that. The food was average. The waitress was nice but a little less attentive than I'd like. No big thing took away stars. A few little things that made it slightly less than good. Like I ordered coffee and water but never got water. And the mug the coffee came in was so old and worn it made the rim rough and bumpy. At first I thought it was dirty. At home I don't mind drinking from a well loved mug but in a restaurant I don't want to see and feel the evidence of thousands of pairs of lips and teeth where I'm going to put my lips. The coffee that came in it was blech too. Speaking of dirty our silverware were nasty. No biggie really. It happens. But the waitress scooped them up and took them away without saying anything and forgot to bring clean ones so when our food came we had to wait until we could flag her down and ask for a fork. That made my eggs cold. Terrible place to visit. Waited for more than twenty minutes after being seated then were given a menu then made to wait again for fifteen minutes before bringing us coffee and finally taking our order. Another man came in and sat behind us and got coffee and friendly service immediately. He placed his order and received it before ours. Looking around I could see how we were the only people of color in the place. I agree whole heartedly that it's a great place if you're white. Not welcoming if you're not. Not a very welcoming or inclusive place to go for mediocre food. I'm a chef owner and am outraged at the mediocre food and even more so the lack of social skills or absence of social graces. I guess experience varies depending on the color of your skin period... We vacationed there hoping for the best of experiences and willing to spend our $ but I guess only white money is welcome. Never going back nor would I ever recommend. Plenty of other places that would welcome and care for their customer better regardless of who they are. Is there a way to give them less than one...
