Came to eat on a Sunday morning. They weren’t crazy busy but they had no tables available. To our surprise we were sat promptly. The waitress came by and asked for our drink order. However, as we were still looking at the drinks she turned around and walked away without an explanation. She returned a while later and took both our drink and food order. We both ordered a menudo. After leaving our food at the table, she did not come back to check on us. She would walk by our table and not bother to ask if we needed anything else. We had to flag her down multiple times to ask for more lemons. We also found a hair in one of the menudos and when we informed our waitress she got defensive, argumentative, and implied it belonged to us. When we made it clear it was NOT ours she just dismissed us and begrudgingly said I’ll bring you another. She didn’t bother to apologize either. After bringing a new plate we asked for more cilantro and onion, (and a spoon which she took with the original plate) which comes with each menudo. She again, seemed bothered by this and we ended up having to ask a busboy for it. His service was 100x better than our waitresses. She ended up coming by 10 minutes later with the cilantro, onion and spoon that we requested. We were nearly done eating. I understand that Sunday's are always busy for restaurants but that’s no excuse for having such...
Read moreWe came on Sunday after my kids soccer game. I have always came here before & we have also loved the owners food & service when he was in Soledad. We have never had issues before. However, on this beautiful Sunday, we had called in advance because we were a big party (8). We sat in the back and helped them put two tables together for us. After waiting for 30 minutes, we realized they had forgotten about us, so we directly asked them for their menu. They asked where we were sitting and proceeded to give us menus & say “oh you’re the big table”. We waited again. We understand it’s Sunday and it’s busy, so waiting isn’t a big deal. However, after an additional 20 minutes, we realized new customers had came in and had been quickly attended. We were confused and looked over to the lady’s. They saw us. They were pointing at us. We waited. Again, they didn’t attend us.
Idk if they were overwhelmed and just wanted us to leave. But they saw us. They knew we were there. They had put tables together and they had given us menus all in a different span of time. I feel like they intentionally ignored us. Maybe they prefer smaller parties.
I believe our mesera had half blonde hair. Lady who helped us with tables was...
Read moreWent there for my first time. Order was totally screwed up. Didn't add the sour cream I asked for in my burrito. Also gave me a side of rice when I ordered and repeated french fries several times because of the extremely loud music and kids running around. Went back to get it corrected talked to the owner. He informs me kitchen is closed also while talking to him he kept asking me to repeat myself cause he couldn't hear me. I told him see there is your problem. Gave me a full refund finally. Went home tried the burrito was a big let down no salt. Carnitas had no flavor. Basically tasted tortilla. Do not go here food and service are very sub par. The taco truck across the street is way better and cheaper and bigger portions. Also the Taqueria across the street from the Valero are 1000 times better. Never been given a wrong order there food taste way better and again pricing is way better. Honestly was one of the worst burritos I have ever eating. The monterey county jail probably serves better food than that. If the owners read this and want to change my mind by all means do and I can show you how to...
