Definitely won’t be coming back. We used to love Mozzi’s but it’s definitely gone down hill recently. We walked in about 5 after 6pm on a Friday evening. There wasn’t anyone waiting for the buffet so we stand there and no one greets us. After 10 minutes of waiting we approach the counter and let them know we have 3 people for dine in. She writes down that there is 3 people and moves on. Another group walks in with about 6 people and lets them know and the 2 girls at the counter tell them to come back in 10 minutes to check if they have tables. They wouldn’t even take their name. They walk outside to talk to their party and 2 more groups of people walk in around 6:20ish for dine in (a group of 7 or so, and another group of 7 or so). After about 3 minutes the 2 girls at the front talk about pushing tables together for the big groups and seats one group meanwhile we have been sitting there for 15 minutes waiting to be seated as a group of 3. I finally say something about how we were here first and someone from the group being seated said we should be next. The girl comes back to seat the 2nd big party that came in behind us and I stand up and say no, we are next (it’s about 6:30 at this point) and she says fine come with me and as we are sitting makes a comment and I tell her she should take names and go by first come first serve not just who is standing in front of her. She tells me that she’s doing what she was trained to do. If that’s the case, training needs to come a long way.
They are extremely understaffed for a Friday night as the server was helping too many tables and took forever to get our drinks and the foot I ordered (which was sub par). The buffalo wings and cookies were way better than the pizza. The salad bar wasn’t stocked at all for the time we were there and the pizza buffet could use more frequent stocking. Can’t say I’ve seen an improvement since all the changes. The manager came around and asked how the food was and I didn’t realize it was the manager because he looked (and dressed) like a cook and couldn’t find him again to chat.
Overall, we won’t...
Read moreMozzi’s in Greenfield was a great experience for me today. I tend to like Mozzi’s pizza in comparison to other chains. Typically, I choose mom and pop kind of locally owned spots, but I realize Mozzi’s also have local owners and their families and employees are part of the communities they serve. So, I gave the buffet a try today at lunch. When I pulled up I noticed that the parking lot and outside of the building were clean and inviting. The foyer is like a basketball floor, and I noticed Jordan across the front of the counter. Lots of TVs and the place was huge inside (larger than I expected). Right away I as greeted by a friendly face who seemed eager to help me. The price was in line with other nicer buffets…ones where the food is good quality, changed out often, and worth the visit. Once I paid I chose my seat, and along the way looked at some of the basketball memorabilia in the many display cases and areas. I started with loading up on a salad (tryna eat healthier these days…with a scoop of creamy ranch on top!). The salad and veggies were all fresh and chilled, and the pizza looked fresh and appealing…I was skeptical, as I am with all buffets. I noticed how amazingly clean everything was! The buffet, the back (you can see all back into the kitchen), and everything was very clean. There were plenty of choices and everything was warm and ready. I made my selections and had a seat. Again, lots of TVs everywhere. I could seriously see going to watch a game there. The staff didn’t let me run out of Pepsi, and they replaced pizza often. Like I said, I already knew what to expect with the taste and quality of pizza, and it was exactly what I expected…just with the added benefit of options on the buffet, which I really enjoy. I’d rather not just eat one type of pizza, and again, it’s typically just not great quality from a buffet. This was, though. It was excellent compared to other experiences I have had. Kudos to this Mozzi’s for making the necessary changes to provide a better customer experience all...
Read moreSo we had not been to Mozzi's for a long time but we decided to give them a go today. We got there about 2 30 in the afternoon and we walked in and the girl that was at the counter asked how many of us there were, and we said seven and she sort of rolled her eyes. She said well if you want the buffet all the pizza is old on the buffet so apparently the buffet had closed for the day and then she asked if we were going to order off the menu. We said we would order off the menu. She took us to a table and brought us the menus and then came back and said oh yeah the cook went to the bank so if you're going to order food it might take a little while. We all looked at each other and because we had a small child and an infant we had already loaded into seats we decided to stay and that was our first mistake. I had heard rumblings about this Mozzi's and it's new owner. It may have actually been the owner that waited on us and I'm not sure but he may have also been the one doing the cooking. He took our orders and I ordered the potato skins appetizer and it ended up coming out after I got my pizza. The couple at the end of the table had ordered a sausage pizza and that finally came out when the rest of us were halfway done with our food. My order consisted of a veggie pizza and the potato skins. Definitely do not recommend the potato skins and the pizza was just okay. The place was empty though, only one other person there when we got there. We set at the table and talked a bit and left about 4:00 and all that old pizza was still sitting on the buffet. Maybe they just don't have enough help to adequately run the place. I think I will spend my hard-earned...
