Red's Drive In — Restaurant in Greenfield

This place was absolutely slammed! They had over an hour wait time for a cheeseburger. The workers were efficient and crazy busy. The food was delicious. I ordered a patty melt. Usually made with grilled onions, swiss cheese, and beef patty on a buttered and grilled rye bread. (Think of how you'd make a grilled cheese, then add grilled onions and a burger patty) Theirs was american cheese on white toast with grilled onions and 2 patties. The butger was DELICIOUS. Don't get me wrong. They season the meat well, and it tasted amazing. But it wasn't a patty melt. It was a double cheeseburger with grilled onions on white toast. It's still 100% worth it. When we arrived there was one other customer in line I front of us. There were 5 people that we could see working inside and no one would help us for 15 minutes. The kids that were running it sat and counted the drawer out in front of us during this time (nowhere near closing time.) it took 40 more minutes to get our order. When we got it we didn’t get any sauces we requested and had to wait for those again as no one would answer the window AGAIN, and our ice cream was half melted. The staff was rude, it smelled like something dead in the waiting area. This would all bother me far less had it been busy, but there was no one there when we arrived. We spent $34 on two meals and a melted ice cream that we threw away. Will never return. The worst part was by far the rudeness and carelessness...

Been eating at Red’s Drive Inn for over 13 yrs. the food has always been awesome!! For those haters that complain about the wait. Number 1 it’s cooked to order, number 2 it’s hard to find enough help these days to fill a kitchen, number 3 let’s see the haters get in the kitchen and cook for several people and see how fast they can get the food out if they can even cook. If you want fast go through a drive through at a fast food chain where there’s food already cooked waiting on you. Oh here’s an idea make your own food at home and bring it with you.
