Overall Rating: 3.4/10 This establishment is compact with limited seating but stands out due to its cozy atmosphere, enhanced by distinctive cultural decorations. However, the overall dining experience was hampered by mediocre food quality.
Atmosphere: The restaurant's small size is somewhat mitigated by its unique decor and cozy vibe, making it visually appealing and distinctive. However, the layout, particularly the placement of the worker counter, makes the space feel cramped and awkward.
Service: 5.1/10 While the staff appeared friendly and attentive, there wasn't anything notably exceptional about the service provided. The establishment is strictly Vietnamese, differing from a broader bistro experience some might expect.
Food:
Beef Fried Rice: 3.1/10 The dish was underwhelming, lacking in both taste and quality of ingredients. The beef was notably bland, and the presence of broccoli and peppers overwhelmed the other flavors.
Pho: 4.4/10 Although the ingredients looked fresh, the broth itself was lacking in depth of flavor, requiring the addition of lime to enhance it. The meatballs were satisfactory.
Appetizer Platter: 3.4/10 This selection was disappointing, with chicken wings that had an off-putting boiled taste before being baked, and spring rolls that contained visually unappealing beef resembling ligaments. The fresh roll was passable.
Vermicelli Combo: 5.9/10 The highlight of the meal, particularly due to the well-seasoned shrimp, which was a standout in terms of flavor. The pork also contributed positively to the dish.
Value: 4.4/10 At $60 for three people, the quantity of food provided seemed reasonable, yet the quality did not meet expectations, impacting the overall value...
Read moreCame here twice already and all the food we ordered were delicious.
It's a nice small family owned restaurant but they pay attention to details. The mother was really nice and super friendly. The daughter also was super attentive to us despite her being cashier, server, and helped out in the kitchen at the same time.
On our first visit we got grilled pork on rice and caramelized pork ribs. They were really delicious. The grilled pork was well marinated. Pork ribs were tender. We love the chilli paste they gave it really boosted up the dish flavor but very spicy though so if you're not familiar to chilies, be warned.
Second visit we got pho. The broth was top notch. It's the most rich broth I've ever had at Vietnamese restaurants over here. Just so full of flavors. The portion was also big they gave us lots of noodles. Beef brisket was my favorite. Meatball tasted really good.
We'd definitely be back for more visit to...
Read moreI had high hopes for this restaurant, but unfortunately, it fell short in several areas. The pho was a major letdown—lacking depth in flavor, with a bland and uninspiring broth. The vegetarian pho was even worse, tasting more like plain hot water with vegetables than a rich, flavorful soup.
Beyond the food, cleanliness was a big issue. The restaurant itself didn’t feel well-maintained, and the bathroom was in poor condition—dirty and out of paper towels. These are basic things that should be taken care of in any establishment.
Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this place unless they make serious improvements to both their food quality and cleanliness.
To make things worse, it was way too expensive for what you get. With those prices, I expected something much better, both in food quality and overall experience. I won’t be coming back—there are plenty of better, more reasonably priced pho...
