I I was a little worried when my husband and I ordered take out of two, 2 piece dark meat dinner plates and was told it would be ready in 10 minutes since chicken takes a little while to cook and it was a Sunday after church service, but i was not disappointed!

I’ve been looking for quality southern baked Mac and Cheese! The kind only Grandma can make! Perfect amount of cheese, noodles cooked to perfection, and NO BREAD CRUMBS! Just a decent layer of cheese and a kiss of crispy browning on the top! Not the new age Mac and cheese that has loose cheese, bread crumbs, and overcooked noodles!

The yams were cooked and sliced very well! However, I would love if they were a little sweeter to go in contrast with the Mac and cheese— but that won’t stop me from ordering them again!

Corn muffins are perfection! (My personal favorite are the ones shaped like little mini unsliced loafs of bread) They seem to have a lemon butter drizzle on the top, which pairs perfectly with the sweetness of the bread!!

Again, I ordered pick up/to go which has a convenient 10 minute window for pick up! With that said, there may be a different process for preparing the food for speedy service, so my chicken was lukewarm and greasy. Tastes like it had been sitting for a while.

The green beans are cooked extremely well! Not over cooked and have a light seasoning. I call it my palate cleanser for when I take my next bite of Mac and Yams!

Overall, this establishment reminds me of being home for the holidays without the judgement of how much I have...

Found this place on Google maps. Oh my goodness well worth the detour. My husband and I both got the 3 whole wing dinner which comes with 2 veggies. I also got the collard greens egg roll. The egg roll was amazing. If you like collards you must try this. The wings were so large I could not eat all 3 with the veggies. Everything was amazing. My husband did not even add salt to anything. The chef understands how to season food and what people like. There is also have a buffet on weekends. Our waiter, a super nice young man, told us the buffet also has fish but it is not kept out because it dries out. This tells me they care about the customer enjoying the food. There were amazing looking cakes for desert. I was too full and took home part of my meal so desert was not an option for me this time. They obviously take pride in the food they serve. I have this place saved for any future trips through Greensboro. Definitely make the detour you will not be...

Went here with my family for my birthday recently. This place has AMAZING FOOD. The pork chop was tender, juicy, and super flavorful. The baked Mac n cheese was damn near perfect, and the yams were exquisite. The bar service was phenomenal. Very gracious host (maybe it was Uncle Rob? I didn't get a chance to ask, but he was SO good to us). The only disappointments were that we made a reservation and the table wasn't prepared for us (but we were the only people there so it wasn't that serious), the server didn't know much about what they have to offer (but she was very accommodating and kind!!), and there was no karaoke (which was the whole reason we chose this place for my birthday) BUT THE FOOD AND SERVICE MADE UP FOR ALL OF IT.
