Lee's Famous Recipe Chicken — Restaurant in Greensburg

I'm new to Greensburg and have never had Lees Chicken so I stopped in before the kids get out of school. I wanted to try the restaurant before I brought in my big family that are from out of state. When I arrived the elderly woman at the register was super nice. Her and a seated gentleman (I believe is the owner or Manager) both were beyond nice and they made recommendations to me. I ordered the fish for dine in and went and had a seat. When the older woman brought me my food it was in a to go box in a bag, which isn't a big deal at all! She apologized to me for the mix up but was positive and said "well, this makes it more convenient if u wanna take any left overs". I loved her kind positive spirit!! Once I opened up my fish meal I realized there wasn't any tarter sauce, so I walked up and waited for the nice cashier to be done handing a to go order of fish to another customer. Before she turned to me to see what I needed the man with the fish order asked the cashier for extra tarter sauce and the cashier asked the older woman cook for some tarter sauce and the cook yelled "ITS IN THE BOX" so the nice cashier nicely said he wants extra. So the cook scoffed and threw it up on the window. I was scared to ask for tarter and I felt bad for the cashier!!!! I said "I'm so sorry!!! But I also need tarter" 😬 the cashier was kind and said "no worries honey" and then asked the hateful woman in the window for a container of tarter and the cook had the most hateful look on her face and AGAIN yelled "IT'S IN THE BOX" and stared at the cashier like she was BIG MAD! I felt like a deer in headlights because I GOT THE CASHIER STARED DOWN AND YELLED AT 😢 for asking for tarter sauce for my almost $15 meal 😡 I loudly said to the cashier "YEAH HOW DARE YOU ASK FOR TARTER SAUCE FOR A CUSTOMER!! 😡 I'm not bringing my family to eat here because I want them to see the beautiful side of Greensburg not the tarter sauce police who must have the cost of tarter sauce deducted from her paycheck. She MUST be a miserable woman to tear down the welcoming atmosphere the two WONDERFUL workers...

The food would make ya belly do a happy dance ,if you like liver I tell you it was lip smacking delishious ,But the service ,well the food was great .I've never gone into a restaurant where the staff hid behind the wall and peeked over the top at ya while everyone was just waiting and they just stood back there talking looking and ignoring all of us ,bout fifteen minutes later someone shouted Are y'all working today and I think they were stuck to the floor cause it took em five more minutes to move ,the atmosphere was great cause we had lottsa folks to talk to and we finally got waited on .Like I said if your willing to wait the food is great and the customers are the friendliest folks...

Update went back today Oct 27 ,2021 went thru drive thru got two fish dinners with 2 sides the fish was hard as a rock the 2 chicken sandwiches weren't any better I've called 3 times to let them know an no one will answer the phone my parents live out in the country to take them back I don't know who the manager is but this food is not acceptable I will keep calling until someone answers my parents eat here once a week and now they aren't wanting to come back since food as been subpar alot lately.It was just ok the chicken could have been fresher.
