Captain D's — Restaurant in Greenville

On August 19th 2025 at 3:00 p.m. I went to Captain D's and I went to the drive thru to order something to eat. I noticed a woman asked me when I was at the place to place my order "hello, how can I help you today?" I tried to tell her what I wanted but she was rude and she interrupted me by saying "sir I cannot take your order right now." I asked her "why is that?" She said "because I am busy with a customer, that's why." My relative was in the car with me and she told the woman what she wanted for her order and she was being rude and disrespectful to me and my relative. Then the woman told me to drive to the order window so I can pay for my order. I drove my car to the window to pay for my order. The woman had me waiting 7 minutes then the woman came to the order window and told me the total to my order. I gave her the money for the order and she told me to drive my car and stop my car in front of the restaurant. I drove my car and parked my car in front of the restaurant. They had me and my relative waiting in the car for almost 10 minutes and it was 100 degrees. It was so bad that it almost made us have a heat stroke in the car. It was so bad that the woman took her time and it seemed like she wanted me and relative to die in the heat. It was so bad that I had to go check my blood pressure on my blood pressure machine that was in the truck of my car and that is when the woman finally showed up with our food looking stupid and delusional. That is unprofessional and this Captain D's needs to be closed down. I forgive them, I bless them, I wish them the best in their lives and I will eat and support Captain...

This place use to be a decent fast food place to go to, but literally the last couple of times I've been here, the food is disappointing. From the catfish being really small a either not fresh or over cooked...to food options like broccoli, green beans, the basics not being available...and the drive thru equipment being so raggedy that you can't hear what's being said. Last night. I literally turned my car off, and I don't have a loud running vehicle just to sorta hear the lady on the intercom. And she was very nice-nasty. when we couldn't hear her she kept getting an attitude until she told us to just come to the window. This location has been here for far too long and gets way too much business to be that cheap to not fix broken appliances that's making it difficult for the employees and the customers. I'm definitely not going back for a while. It's way too overpriced to constantly receive underwhelming food...

This dining experience was fair. The staff was friendly and upbeat and the food was hot. My only ding with this location is the cleanliness or the lack thereof. The windows and blinds were dirty and the floor was slippery. The thing I like most about this location is the drink and condiment. It had everything you needed and then something extra. They even have a high bar family style table that seats about 8-10 people. We tried several items from the menu. The fish was hot, seasoned ok, and presented well on the styrofoam plate. The Cole slaw, crab dressing, hush puppies were good. The shrimp and corn were not. The corn tastes old and on the verge of souring. The shrimp were dry this time. Normally really good. I was also glad to see adequate staffing. They all looked happy and spoke well among themselves. Their uniforms appeared clean however, going to the bathroom while cooking and wearing your apron...
