Dairy King — Restaurant in Greenville

It was good. Authentic non chain diner experience. Highschool kids running the joint, and doing a fine job at it. I wasn't sure what all the items on the menu were. I asked about the difference between the smashburger and a regular burger. The kid described the smashburger as something with egg and bacon. That wasn't what I was expecting, so I just said what I wanted. A burger (not a cheeseburger) with lettuce tomato, and pickles if they have it. The kid asked about onion, and I said yes please, if you have it. Staff was friendly. Service was great. Food was as expected. They don't have any special sauce or anything. I enjoyed my burger with ketchup and mustard. It was good. Nothing to rave about, but good. I liked the fries. I like peanut butter, and the peanut butter shake did not disappoint. The medium size seemed like it should have been a large. I got the medium, and thought the small would have suited me better. I liked it. I wouldn't go far out of my way to eat there again, but I certainly would eat...

Absolutely the worst experience from any restaurant that we've been to in Greenville. Twice now our family has ordered $20 or more and been treated like we don't exist. I don't know if it just the drive thru but the first time we came through we were handed an ice cream and told "thanks" as the window shut on us. We hadn't even paid yet. The second time was nearly the same. We pulled up after ordering and 5 mins later a young lady opened the window and asked WHY we were sitting there. After paying for several meals another young lady handed us a fry and plain hotdog and closed the window. We had to get their attention to which we were met with a less than happy young lady who reluctantly gave us what we had asked for 20 mins before. Don't recommend the service. Actually very disappointed this time. First of all we were in the drive through line for around 20mins. We ordered a single chocolate waffle cone. When we finally got up to the window to pay we watched a teen boy make my husbands hand dipped ice cream, didn't have gloves on, broke the cone, and fixed up the ice cream using his bare fingers 😅 we watched him take the cone out to the floor and we said "hopefully it wasn't for us" and eventually he did come back to the window with the same cone and gave it to us. We were dumbfounded.
