There was a 10/11 year old kid taking the orders. I bought two hotdogs from this restaurant and when they gave them to me they were cold, like they was literally still in the square like they had not been cooked at all. Unbelievable! After I waited over 30 minutes on some friggin hot dogs. The girl came to the window and told me they were cold because of the slaw on top of them. Like I don’t know an uncooked hotdog when I see one. A week ago this quickly became my favorite restaurant because I hadn’t ate there and I really didn’t know what they did until I looked them up online, so every day I’ve been buying my lunch from this restaurant, my fish sandwiches, fish, spaghetti, coleslaw, baked beans, and my favorite actually is the hotdog and I get the coleslaw with the mustard and pickles on it. Yo, my food was literally thrown up. I’m afraid to eat it I’m really afraid to eat this food. The guy that brought it back out to me basically shoved it back in my face and said, “see if it’s cooked now and walked off. So no sir. I won’t be eating spit dogs tonight. I really felt like that was racist. There’s no way if I was a white lady, I would’ve gotten uncooked food. If you’re in a hurry, you should stop taking orders at least 30 minutes before closing. It’s a...
Read morePasquale's and Frostop has been a staple in Greenville, MS for years; even as individual restaurants back in the day, they were "go-to" family joints with delicious Italian style options at Pasquale's, and super good burgers, fries, and catfish sandwiches at Frostop!
When they merged locations, the quality of the food and service went down a couple notches - while the location is neat, well-decorated with local art, and paintings of Black Blues musicians, their servings got smaller, sandwiches smaller - the "Lot-a-Burger" is a "Little" burger, and my favorite catfish sandwich that used to be served with a whole filet, is now down to a one strip sandwich. There's no longer juice dripping from the sandwiches, and the fries are lukewarm in the bag.
More than that, the customer service is inconsistent. Bigotry is still very much in the experience - with both customers and staff, seating, and timeliness of orders being delivered.
The food is not at all as good as it used to be. And has now been reduced to a lazy option for something we all can make ourselves at home.
Sadly, this once great place, is now mediocre at best.
It seems they sacrificed quality for what seems a better and...
Read morePasquale's was good once upon a time. My husband and I always visited there for a meal when in town visiting his family. We visited this past Saturday and the quality has plummeted. Our order was rang up incorrectly, and my husband was served slaw instead of fries. When he asked for a new plate of food, specifically asking them to make sure there was no slaw on there, they served him the sandwich, spaghetti and fries on three tiny plates - with some slaw was still on the sandwich. Moving the original sandwich to a different plate does not change the fact that slaw already touched it and made the bread soggy. Catfish was bland and small. The slaw was gross and tasted like there was garlic in it. The fries had no color or flavor. The ketchup was not good either. It tasted old and sour. I give it one star simply because the Frostop Root Beer was still available and good. We threw most of our food away. What a waste of $20.00. Won't be eating here again unless the quality improves. Sad to see such a staple of Greenville...
