I recently dined at Shawarma Chef, and it was a delightful experience from start to finish. Shawarma Chef has mastered the blend of elegance and warmth, offering an ambiance that feels both sophisticated and welcoming.

Their menu offers a diverse selection of Iraqi and Mediterranean cuisine. I started with the delicious Lamb Shank dish, including a perfect balance of in-house stew. Then, I finished with the authentic Iraqi tea.

The staff (the owner) was attentive by providing excellent recommendations and genuine advice about their menu and the inspiration behind certain dishes and sandwiches, which made my first experience at Shawarma Chef feel personal and memorable.

We went to try the food for the first time from Shawarma Chef and the food was above the expectations. So delicious and tasty, clean and warm. The beef / chicken shawarma wraps were amazing. The fries, hummus, fried tortillas pieces will fill you up but you will still want to eat the shawarma wrap. Chef Duraid is such a great person and he really took care of us very well. You'll rarely see people like him cares for their customers and he is one of the few. I will definitely go back to check and try what's new on his menu. I talked to him while he was prepping the food and he also does catering. No think twice, go and try the best Mediterranean food in Portland...
