The Mashed Burger — Restaurant in Gresham

This is a must try! One of the better burgers ive ever had. Not a lot of options in town for a smashed burger and this is the place to go. I ordered the cowboy burger with jalapeños on it and it was delicious. The crispy meat edges from a perfect smash, is like a meat blanket for your soul! My son got the chicken tenders and said they are a close competition to scooters chicken tenders for best in town... and thats big coming from a kid who eats chicken tenders everywhere he goes so hes had his fair share of them! My only critique would be to season the fries, they are bland, but there is salt table side if you want them salted. One thing owner does need to add is bee and wasp traps, as there is only outdoor seating and there are lots of bees and wasps and is not enjoyable to be bothered by them when eating. Could also cause a problem if you are allergic to them, so having those would be nice to minimize the amount of them! Solid flavors on the Cowboy and regular Cheeseburger, nice and messy, decent sized burger. Good texture on the mashed patty, temp was good, though the patty was little on the thin side (probably around a quarter pound), toppings were there but not super plentiful, onion rings on the cowboy were really good. Not many fries were included in our order and they were kind of luke warm and on the cool side, standard issue fry. All in all the portion size seemed slighty small for the price. My order was Doordashed to me so I haven't yet been on property, but this was one of the best burgers I've had in a long while. I ordered the Bacon Jalapeno Mushroom & Swiss. Substituted American cheese since I'm allergic to swiss. The burger was hot and fresh and I LOVE that it was fresh grilled jalapenos instead of pickled. Hard to get that around here. Will definitely be coming by with my husband to have him try it...
