Uncle Kranky's Cafe — Restaurant in Griswold

first time n was excited to try. didn’t seem too busy, maybe 6 at the bar, table of 6, 4, 2 n us (2 + child). a few mins into us being there the table of 2 decided to up and leave at just drinks.. took 54 minutes for us just to get our 15 wings.. probably about 20-30 more mins to get our food; broccoli alfredo, prime rib grinder & cheeseburger sliders. although the food was nice and hot, the burger was black on the bottom, broccoli alrfredo had a funky taste, but the prime rib was pretty decent. had about 4 flies surrounding us and landing on our food the whole time. got extremely sick after eating the food. waitresses were nice and seemingly trying their best, but there was only 2 of them n the bar seemed to have the majority of their attention. 2hrs later, bill came to 77$.. portions were big, but seems a little pricey for the atmosphere. kinda...

Atmosphere is great, really cool looking resturant, but that's really the only good thing about it. We waited about 40 minutes to get our food and everything we ordered was warm at best. Only 4 other tables in the whole resturant. Food is frozen bar food, wings, mozzarella sticks, and tater tots all frozen foods before serving I'm sure, to get a $60 bill between two people. We went with a friend that they charged an extra $3.00 just for cheese! We thought we ordered a side salad, not a whole meal salad and it had lettuce that was just starting to brown. Our faces looked like their sign walking out. First time locals that won't be coming back. If I wanted all frozen/old food I would have stayed at home and cooked. Much better places around to spend $60 at for only 2 people. Don't waste...

We went to uncle Kranky‘s after many fabulous reviews from friends. Very disappointing and we didn’t even get to taste the food. In the 40+ years my husband and I have been together we’ve only walked out of two restaurants, one of which was here. Wasn’t very busy when we arrived. Sat down at the bar amongst other people. Had three what I would guess were the waitresses in uncle Kranky T-shirts standing by the register taking turns looking at us for awhile. The bartender came down after watching us with the other three and ask the gentleman that sat next to us, who had come in 5-10 minutes after we did, and asked him if wanted to place an order. Completely ignoring us. So we got up and left. Just very rude. If we were supposed to sit at a table someone could’ve at least...
