Ye Olde Coffee House is a wonderful addition to the Grottoes community. The coffee tastes great, and the establishment purveys its own unique beverages. The coffeehouse has a wonderfully indie atmosphere inside, with a corner featuring a small sofa adorned with a patchwork quilt and various historical paraphernalia on the walls, a tiny (but perfectly formed) leatherworks shop where you can buy items handcrafted by one of the coffeehouse owners, a table with a built-in chess board (ask the cashier for the chess pieces, if you would like to play), and an overall homey and welcoming ambience.

Just 6 miles off Interstate 81, this cozy coffee house run by a lovely mother-daughter team is a true gem! Their coffee comes from a local roaster, adding to the authentic experience. We enjoyed: - Almond milk cafĂ© latte: Amazing! - Lavender latte: A five-star delight! - Espresso shot: Smooth and delicious. The pleasant service and inviting atmosphere made our visit memorable. Highly recommend this spot, and we’ll definitely return when in the area!

This is my favorite place to sit and read or get work done: relaxing atmosphere with so many drink and snack options. I also appreciate that it's a local, family-owned business who remember their regulars and are creating a community hub. I recommend their international selection of teas, drip coffee, and gourmet breakfast bars!! Also stop in if you're interested in Grottoes history, they have a fantastic wall display.

This place is a treat! Diane and her daughter Abby have made it a relaxing and enjoyable place to listen to nostalgic music on an equally nostalgic old radio, but the various bits of old history about the place will entertain as well. Abby has a wonderful collection of leather pieces for sale that are handmade. The pastries and treats are all homemade. The coffee and Chai were hot and flavorful. And, if you are into little gnomes, there are some hiding about... if you find them all, you can get a free punch for a coffee! I was sad that I had just come on the day we were leaving the area as I could see it was a place I would have liked to...
