Honestly and being serious here after reading thru these reviews, much of u must not travel very much. I've been traveling for many years (about 25) all over the U.S. (that includes Oklahoma and surrounding states.) East buffet is not that great of a buffet, there are many far better with better food and far more selection. But let's talk about east buffet specifically. Its main problem is the price even for adults (yes the kids price being the same as the adults is absolutely ridiculous.) I've been eating at this place since it opened it doors after the place was the old Grove post office. The price was always around 7 dollars. Then it jumped to over ten dollars and that's with only a water which I always drink, more if u order something else to drink. What happened is the owner (Jack, kinda looks like Ricky Tann of of the movie rush hour/how Ricky Tann looked in rush hour,) he got greedy, BIG TIME! If u travel as I do and eat at many Chinese buffets all the time that are far better and have far more and they're always around 7 dollars, that should tell you something. This place is far too expensive and as people are today (pretty dumbed down and will pay anything for nothing and people/owners of companies, restaurants etc know u will do this) that's why they jack their prices up to put far more money in their pockets, things have really gotten out of hand today and we the people are stupid enough to let this go on and pay the ridiculous prices we are paying for things, this restaurants food included. The only other place I can think of that has a ridiculous price such as this place is a Chinese buffet in Rogers, AR, and the food there isn't that great either, bunch of greedy folks over there too. There's a few knuckleheads out there at these places that will price gouge. What you people need to do is boycott this restaurant for about a week while insisting Jack drop the price back down to around 7 dollars for the buffet and most...
ย ย ย Read moreSuch a weird place. Nothing taste great or good don't believe any of those reviews. Been here more that four times. It's always the same mediocre food. Frozen Italian meatball and onion and pineapple siskababs. This one item should give you a idea. Of weird food. Greasy greasy dumplings or potstickers. made from breakfast sausage. Not ground pork. really throws the taste off.
It's is funny when they are working at another table loudly talking bad about you. But then thank the server in chinese. And they get all quite and whisper.
It's like this place doesn't care about you or basic service. like I said don't believe any of the good food reviews.
I have been to Vietnamese ran chinese american food buffet. They tended to put ketchup on most things and it was better than this place. The service is so bad never expect a refill. they complain when you ask. It's just water. all the reviews that say rude have to be real. As I said been here multiple times. everytime with someone new. And I say told you. after we leave. spending almost $30. and not even finishing a plate.
If they are not going to make this american chinese food good or remotely normal. Might as well make family and regional dishes. jianbing or three cup chicken would be nice.
This area is a food restaurant desert when it comes to real choices or diversity. most places are sysco foods ect.
I still don't understand how people can say this is good. Have they never been to another chinese buffet? The place in Langley food is better. no buffet. little more expensive. and can seem a little rude.
Edit: Oh yeah if my constitution was weaker. I'd throw up from this food. Instead just stomach sickness. And the stomach calls for a quick...

I'm not sure if it would be a language barrier or a cultural barrier but the servers rarely ever talk which rubs almost all people the wrong way. The service staff members will only come to a table every so often of course not sticking to a lot of rules and tips that I learned in service industry like watching your tables and looking at their drinks to see if they need refills. It definitely seems that the only time do servers interact with any guests is at the beginning and at the end. As far as the food goes of course it's a buffet and depending on the time of day will depend on exactly how fresh the food is. The buffet along with the entire restaurant is long overdue for a remodel and a update. It is almost like you are stepping into a restaurant that was quickly thrown together on a budget and then neglected for years. The buffet is rarely ever updated with new food as far as the menu changing. I know everybody has a saying of if it is not broke then don't fix it but whenever it is one of the few restaurants in town that can hold a greater amount of people the customers eventually stop going to a restaurant that is too afraid to try something new. Until things change my rating will stay at a 2-star rating and a lot will have to be done to even get to a 3-star I recommend strongly on a full renovation and a...
