Tea Garden — Restaurant in Groveland

So my brother and I went for "a sit down lunch". Working construction, it's not often we have a relaxing lunch, but when we do,near Groveland MA, It's the tea garden. Fine gourmet Chinese food. We both got the egg drop soup to start. William ordered the moo goo guy pan and I got a combination plate with egg foo young, chicken wings, fingers and fried rice.( It is light colored rice, not saturated soy sauce rice ) Hate to be a stickler for details, but we both ordered coke for our drinks. It was diet Coke. Just tell me you're out of Coke, or someone attached the wrong syrup canister to the coke line.. Other than that the meal was perfect. Food was delicious and fresh and hot. And plentiful for a lunch portion. It's second best in my book, only surpassed by "Sho Yu" in Saugus and Andover. ...

Went there 20 years ago when first opened. War greatthan so I had out oftown friend visiting. Was brought to a flithy table that was shaking. We had to request a seat change. The basement where was the all the ruckus. The staffwas aware.of thisbut still chooses to seat us there building was freezing and no customers in dining area only the bar. Boneless ribs were all fat drenched in honey. The crab rangoon zero crab. And was frozen Paid an extra $6 to change to seafood. Plate was average size. Apps were over cooked. But what was most disappointed about was cleanliness. The tea pot was dirty top and sides. 3 of the plates were chipped and the 2 side plates were chipped and the silverware was spotted ....

I didn't use to go here because I thought the food was very bad but I decided to give it another shot since it's been over a year and I know the pandemic had worsened a lot of places. At the very least I can say not to pay with cash because they will not give you your appropriate change back, act like you're stupid, and rush you out the door.

Edit: They gave me the wrong meal because they didn't have what I ordered so the male manager made a substitute without asking, which I was allergic to. Very dangerous of him to do.
