If you don't have time to read this, then I suggest that you just go to any Tony's BBQ in the area, for a 5 star experience. I went to Freddys with my girlfriend for lunch. The place looks old fashion but clean. Although its not on the menu, my girlfriend ordered a 2 meat plate of brisket and saugage, with fries and beans as a side. I also asked for a two meat plate but requested a double portion of beef. When our plates (9 inch styrofoam, with plastic fork and knife) arrived it looked like someone was slopping the hogs. Everything was crammed onto the plate like a circus car full of clowns. My plate appeared to have the same 3 slices of meat as my girlfriends, only she had an addtional saugage link. I did not comment on the missing portion of meat necause I assumed the witress forgot, and I didn't want to make a big deal of it. Now don't gey me wrong. the meat was good as was the Texas toast, that however had absorded a load of BBQ sauce, because it was laid on top of everything. My girl, nor I, liked the fries as they seemed to have been cooked for a second or third time, the onion rings were defintely re-fried a few times, (why I don't know) but they were way over cooked and like crisp sponges loaded with grease. My girlfriend did say the beans were good, so all in all. the meat and beans passed but everything else sucked. When I got to the counter to pay our bill was $26.31 and my girlfriend said to tell the cashier, waitress, cook, that my dish didn't come with double meat, but she insisted I had double meat, and when I told her my portion was equal to my girlfriends, she then claimed my girlfriend had triple meat. Instead of apologizing and accepting she may have made an error, she wanted to bounce around excuses, and therefore gets a zero star for customer service. You should be greatful I left even a $2 tip for you after your poor...
Read moreWe had ribs, catfish plate, Buddain balls, pulled pork and apple pies. They were a lot more expensive than we thought they would be. The small catfish plate I got alone was $13 and it came with 2 medium size pieces of fish and some fries, the fries were sub par and honestly just tasted like DQ or frozen fries, I had to put extra salt on them to make them good however the catfish was fantastic. The ribs came with a lot more for the price but weren’t as tender as we had hoped. The pulled pork was a complete disappointment wasnt a good cut of meat not was it really cooked well and was kinda dry. Their BBQ sauce was good and the catfish was good but we spent like $50 for that and it wasn’t worth it in my opinion. The fried apple pies were okay. And the bbq beans tasted like they were just canned with their sauce...
